ESPN is about to transform the way fans experience sports. Blending the immediacy of live coverage with the interactivity of sports wagering, the network is taking a bold step into the future of entertainment. The move comes as part of a sweeping agreement between ESPN and DraftKings Inc., one that is set to reshape both sports broadcasting and digital gaming.

Beginning December 1, 2025, DraftKings will become the exclusive Official Sportsbook and Odds Provider of ESPN, integrating its technology and entertainment products directly into ESPN’s broadcast and digital ecosystem. The rollout will begin at the end of 2025 and continue through 2026, creating a seamless sports viewing experience where betting, analysis, and live coverage converge.

A Major Step for Both Brands

The companies described the deal as a unifying moment between two powerhouses of modern sports culture. According to ESPN, “Beginning in December 2025, DraftKings entertainment products will be integrated across ESPN, and will be integrated completely by 2026.” That means fans engaging with ESPN programming—whether on television or through its digital platforms—will see live betting lines, DraftKings odds, and fantasy tie-ins built directly into their experience.

For Disney-owned ESPN, this marks the company’s biggest move yet into the sports betting space, expanding beyond fantasy integrations into a full-fledged partnership with one of the most prominent digital betting brands in the U.S.

Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN, underscored how this move aligns with the company’s broader strategic direction:

“Our betting approach has focused on offering an integrated experience within our products. Working with DraftKings, a leader in the space, will allow us to build upon that foundation, continue to super-serve passionate sports fans and grow our ESPN direct-to-consumer business. We are excited about this new collaboration with DraftKings.”

The statement reflects ESPN’s ongoing shift toward subscription-based streaming and direct-to-consumer growth. Its newest platform, ESPN Unlimited, debuted earlier this year—and now, through the partnership, DraftKings customers will gain access to exclusive ESPN Unlimited promotions.

DraftKings Steps Into the Spotlight

For DraftKings, the partnership offers unprecedented exposure. As one of the most recognizable names in digital sports entertainment, the company gains front-and-center placement across ESPN’s extensive network of shows, digital platforms, and mobile applications.

Jason Robins, CEO and Co-Founder of DraftKings, emphasized the brand alignment between the two organizations, saying:

“ESPN’s unmatched visibility across the world of sports make this collaboration a natural fit. As an innovative leader in digital sports entertainment, DraftKings is uniquely positioned to integrate our technology and products with ESPN’s iconic brand and storytelling power. Together, we’re delivering a seamless, engaging, and responsible experience that elevates how fans connect with live sports.”

That synergy will be particularly visible on the ESPN app, where DraftKings will power a newly developed betting tab. The integration will allow fans to check odds, participate in fantasy contests, and access betting tools—all without leaving ESPN’s interface.
