“We don’t talk about Bruno”… but we sure can’t stop singing about him! Ok, ok, we get it… Disney’s Encanto (2021) is incredible. But, can you guess how many times the average user has watched the popular film?
The Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Encanto is a Disney movie that has reached new heights! The diverse and spirited Madrigal Family is full of an inspiring lineup of characters. Not only do we love the characters, but the film’s animation is award-winning and the incredible chart-topping music by Lin Manuel Miranda that is stuck on repeat in our heads can’t go unnoticed.
While Encanto merchandise can only be found in select areas of the Disney Parks, we expect this to expand soon enough! The excitement surrounding the possibility of an Encanto attraction is surmounting as Disney CEO Bob Chapek has already noted Encanto is now a full-on franchise in his mind.
With the mixed reviews of Disney and Pixar’s newest animated movie, Turning Red (2022), we can’t help but shift our focus back to Encanto to keep singing its praise. And now it seems like Disney+ is doing the exact same!
@disneyplus took to Twitter to share the news that on Friday, March 18, 2022, Disney+ will be releasing an Encanto Sing-Along as noted in the announcement tweet below:
Even though we’ve heard the songs a million times, we can’t help but get excited to sing along on Friday! But, that’s not the only piece of Encanto news we’re learning about. Disney has dished out the news of the average re-watches of Encanto per Disney+ user!
@ScottGustin took to Twitter to share, “Disney says #Encanto has over “180 million re-watches globally, with an average of five re-watches per user.”
Yes, that’s FIVE re-watches on average per user. @ScottGustin goes on to joke, “Parents: 5 per day?”
That’s an IMPRESSIVE number, to say the least! It’s no wonder Disney+ is dishing out a new way for Encanto fans to watch the film with a sing-along version.
How many times have you watched Disney’s Encanto? Go ahead, be honest. We won’t judge as it’s likely our family was the one pushing the average up!
