Since Fantasmic! returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios last November, Guests at Walt Disney World have had the opportunity to spot a lot of their favorite characters during the show’s finale. But what about meeting all of the characters featured in this iconic show scene?

Well, you can actually meet some of the characters from Fantasmic! on select days around the Park. During a special, unplanned (and therefore “secret” event) unofficially called “Characterpalooza” Guests can sometimes meet these characters on days when there is only one showing of Fantasmic!

Theme park journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald came across several characters on Thursday, February 9, 2023, including Pinocchio and Gepetto, a penguin with Mary Poppins, Pocahontas and Meeko, and Baloo:

While these characters were spotted near the entrance to the Disney Park, “characterpalooza” also takes place near the exit of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction  on Sunset Boulevard.

Because these meet and greets are not on the schedule, and are dependent on several factors related to Fantasmic! there is no way to know if or when you might see this surprise meet and greet. Still, it never hurts to keep an eye out for them, especially on days when Fantasmic! is only performed one time.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been quite the destination for seeing characters lately, with new additions to the Park’s regular meet and greet lineup recently making their debut like Max as Powerline and characters from The Incredibles (2004).

For regularly scheduled character experiences, you can always find up to date times and meeting locations in the My Disney Experience app. Otherwise, areas near the entrance to the theme park and by the exit of Tower of Terror are great places to start your search!
