This here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Well, it’s not Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but there are geysers, the Old West, and goats! If you are aching to explore America’s beauty beyond Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California, then Adventures by Disney just might be your thing.

Not many people are aware that beyond the theme parks, the magic of Disney can be found in Wyoming. There may not be rides, attractions, and Dole Whip, but there is that famous Disney service, great Disney exclusives, and the wonders of nature! The Adventures by Disney website describes the Wyoming trip as:

Feel your spirits soar as you head into the Great Outdoors on the Adventures by Disney Wyoming family vacation. Bask in the rugged beauty of the West while you horseback ride, raft and hike through Yellowstone National Park and other spectacular sites on your amazing adventure.

The Wyoming itinerary is full of activities to please travelers, young and old. From whitewater rafting and horse-riding to biking and scenic viewpoints, there are adventures and memories to be made throughout the week!

The 7-day/6-night adventure includes stays at historic hotels, including The Wort, Brooks Lake Lodge, and a Yellowstone National Park hotel (which is often the Old Faithful Inn). 16 meals are included: 6 Breakfasts, 5 Lunch, and 5 Dinners.

Across Jackson Hole, Brooks Lake, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park, Guests can enjoy the services of two Adventure Guides, admission fees to attractions, VIP access, and cultural experiences with local experts. Here we have the lowdown on what you can expect from this Western adventure!

Jackson Hole

Jackson, Wyoming, is a whimsical town full of amazing character and stunning scenery. Disney knows how to make the most of its charm with exclusive bookings and activities at Snow King Mountain and the Grand Teton National Park.

Guests can enjoy a stay in the historic Wort Hotel, which opened back in 1941 and features the famous Silver Dollar Bar. Guests can enjoy cowboy grub, hear authentic live country music and get ready for the amazing experiences ahead in the hotel’s Western majesty.

Disney also organizes a private lunch at Snow King Mountain, which features one of North America’s steepest ski slopes. After lunch, Guests can then careen down the Snake River on a raft – like on Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park – getting soaked while spotting bald eagles, herons, bison, or osprey.

Grand Teton National Park

The Grand Tetons stand majestically over the town of Jackson, boasting both some of the oldest rocks and the newest mountain ranges in the world. Part of the Rocky Mountains, the iconic mountain range can be seen all along the Disney bike tour guided by a local expert, with a stop at Mormon Row and Moulton Barn. Guests not wishing to bike enjoy the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center and surrounding hiking trails.

Yellowstone National Park

And then, it’s off to Yellowstone! Often the most anticipated part of the trip, the Yellowstone National Park is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary. Sat on a caldera volcano, the park is full of thermal features and beautiful surprises.

Adventures by Disney Guests get to see the geysers, mud pots, fumaroles, and hot springs of the West Thumb Geyser Basin, before heading to National Park Lodging within walking distance of Old Faithful Geyser. Lodges in this area are constructed to reflect the natural beauty of their surroundings, feature no air conditioning, and inspired Disney’s Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The following day, Disney provides a private National Park guide who takes Guests on an awe-inspiring tour of the Lower Loop of Yellowstone National Park to see what captured the imagination of artists and adventurers alike. Discover Artist Point, the Upper and Lower Waterfalls, the blue pools and pink mud pots of Fountain Paint Pot Trail, and Lake Yellowstone, all while looking for Hidden Mickeys in nature.
