For many of us regular Disney Resort Guests, typically, you’ll find rooms at Disney Resorts in excellent shape upon arrival. But, imagine arriving at a Walt Disney World Resort to experience the vacation of a lifetime, only to find your Resort hotel room infested with disgusting bugs.
If you’re looking for the best-priced Walt Disney World Resort, the All-Star Resort family of value Resorts is the way to go. With All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, and All-Star Movies, the massive props, and family-friendly environment make these Resort hotels great places to stay.
But, the experience wasn’t so magical for one family visiting Disney. Thankfully, while Disney initially ignored the bug issue, all hope wasn’t lost after all!
Streaming the Magic shared photos and the experience by Joshua Keller, who checked into Disney’s All-Star Movie’s Resort on September 10, 2022, with several bugs already inhabiting the room. Keller shares the story as follows:

“Checked into our room today to the surprise of over 20 of these bugs crawling all around the room, called immediately to the main desk, was then told we would have our room changed to a new one immediately and manager will speak with us.”
“15-20 min of waiting goes by get a call back to the room telling us the won’t be changing our room but will send someone to clean it if we wanted! After spending our honeymoon at Disney the past 2 weeks (stayed at all star sports for 5 nights and a 7 night cruise on the fantasy) to be treated this way is brutal.”
“As I’m typing this actively more bugs are continually crawling out of vents and under doors! I get this is that time of year but they regardless shouldn’t be in a “cleaned” room.”

Not all hope is lost, however. As an update to this story, we have learned that when a housekeeping Cast Member arrived, she did help the Guest get a new room, after all, turning around this horrible experience for the family.
Joshua Keller adds when talking about the Mousekeeping Cast Member, “She was amazing and personally checked the room herself to ensure it was taken care of as well as providing us with a free meal voucher. She is very valuable to this resort and the only reason our stay was improved and made acceptable!”

We’re so glad, in the end, Disney reconciled the issue. As far as why the Resort room was infested with bugs, however, is still a question. We’re sure Disney will work to remove all infestation before inviting another Guest to stay in that room.
