Disney Cruise Line has introduced its newest ship to join the fleet. Disney Treasure is set to sail beginning in December 2024. Last week, Disney held a reveal to see the magical features the cruise ship will offer to those on board. Disney describes Disney Treasure as “where the spirit of adventure meets the daring tales of classic Disney films and Disney park attractions.” The decor, architecture, unique theming, and detail of the ship’s spaces prove just that.

During the grand reveal, viewers got to experience a snippet of the ship’s offer should they choose to sail aboard. The live-streamed event showed character dining, live entertainment, attractions, adult escapes, kids’ clubs, character encounters, and rooms to stay. The adult escapes include Untangled Salon, Senses Spa, Quite Cove Pool, The Rose, Palo Steakhouse, Enchante, and two unique spaces, Periscope Pub, and Skipper Society.

What makes these spaces unique is the inspiration that was used to create the two dynamic areas. As the ship represents classic Disney stories and Disney Parks, it’s only fitting that the inspiration came from those very ideas. Tomorrow Tower Suite was inspired by the same concept, pulling from classic Disney stories like these two spaces.

Skipper Society

Disney’s attraction, Jungle Cruise, was a massive inspiration for Disney Treasure. Specifically found in Skipper Society, Guests can find flora and fauna sprouting to honor the original attraction. An added touch is the vintage-style luggage stacked behind the bar. “Each suitcase will be plastered with travel stickers that represent locations depicted inside the Jungle Cruise attraction – including the backside of water,” Disney writes. Additionally, the same green and red tones found in Walt Disney World’s Jungle Cruise found in Magic Kingdom are represented on the walls of the new bar.

Periscope Pub

This Nautilus-styled pub was inspired by Disney’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage. Paying homage to the classic attraction, the bar is littered with artifacts, drawings, and books used by none other than Captain Nemo himself. The pub offers light bites along with craft beers and inspired underwater drinks. Three exclusive beers on tap were themed to the 20,000 Leages Under the Sea (1954) film.

Tomorrow Tower Suite

One of the many accommodations offered on Disney Treasure is the Tomorrow Tower Suite. During the reveal, Guests learned of the honor this suite pays to EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort. But did you know that Figment, everyone’s favorite purple dragon, is actually posing in various hiding places throughout the suite? Furthermore, Imagineers created the spiral staircase inspired by Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.

These are only three of the many ways Disney Park lovers would enjoy the details of Disney Treasure. Early booking dates for the new ship have already opened for some Disney Cruise Line members. Booking for the general public will open next week on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
