We often talk about how wonderful Cast Members are; this is just another nod to them. At Walt Disney World, Cast Members are the hard-working employees that run the show. The massive Resort in Orlando, Florida, includes four Parks, two water Parks, Disney Springs, and Disney’s BoardWalk. The Parks include Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

Of course, there is even more to Disney World, including Resorts and all of the amenities that come with Disney. From mini golf to boat rentals to the free transportation to and from the Parks, Cast Members truly have a part in every part of a Guest experience. Something unique about Cast Members is that they all have different uniforms or costumes, depending on where they work. You’ll never find Cast Members in Magic Kingdom wearing the same gear as a Cast Member at Disney’s Pop Century.
Cast Member Training
Disney’s attention to detail is much more than attractions, dining, and employee outfits, though. Cast Members undergo training and even have Disney Trainers to help them along the way. “Disney Trainers not only act as a resource for on-the-job training but as one of the first confidants a new cast member has when embarking on their adventure to become a magic maker,” Disney writes.
During training, Cast Members learn all the ins and outs of their role and company-wide policies. Additionally, they learn “Disney’s world-renowned safety and courtesy standards, while also bringing to life Disney’s rich heritage,” Disney details.

As a Disney fan and Guest of the Parks, we all know Cast Members are much more than employees. They are oftentimes the first responders to situations, leading the next steps in what to do. They are taught protocols in case of an emergency and a plethora of issues. Additionally, they get to have fun while working, like pixie dusting and making Guest experiences as magical as possible.
A recent Guest of EPCOT took to an online platform to share their gratitude to Cast Members who helped their child during a scary situation.
Thanks to Cast Members
The Disney Guest who bravely shared their experience at EPCOT wrote a statement to those who assisted their child. “I want to take a moment to give many thanks and praise to everyone who helped with my family yesterday in the France pavilion at EPCOT,” they began. They described that their two-year-old had what is known as a Febrile seizure. Thankfully, they also reported their child is fine and doing well, which is what’s most important.
They wrapped up the post by stating,
We’re so lucky and grateful she’s okay, and the cast members and guests who helped out were all so amazing. Even the medical professionals at Celebration Pediatric Emergency were so comforting and helpful. So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!!!
Cast Members are always there to assist and trained to do so in situations like this. But it’s incredible to see how quickly they are prepared to step in and help during what can become a very scary situation. Of course, no one expects medical emergencies or anything outside of a magical day at the Park, but we’re all human, and things happen!

It’s also important to note how lucky we Guests can feel that we have these unsung heroes walking around the Parks, ready to step in when assistance is needed. This is only one of the many ways Cast Members have helped families during their trip to Disney World, with plenty more experiences Guests can share.
