Disney World is known for many things, but a graphic surprise is not one of them. When taking a trip to Walt Disney World, Guests are expecting magic. The Parks offer so many unique experiences it’s easy to have a memorable trip each time you visit. At Disney World, Guests can venture through Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.
As avid visitors, many Guests quickly have their favorite Park or favorite attraction. It’s easy to fall in love with a ride that makes you feel like you are a part of the theme you are immersed in. For many, favorite rides begin from their first trip to Disney World. Whether it was when they were five or fifty, Guests can always recall the first time they boarded their favorite attraction.
New Attractions Coming to Disney
While we all have a favorite, or a few, Disney constantly surprises us with new rides. As many fans watched the biggest fan event of the year unfold, Destination D23, there are so many new attractions to look forward to. Magic Kingdom expects a tavern near Pirates of the Caribbean that will be themed after the iconic attraction. Animal Kingdom will be reimagining DinoLand U.S.A., and Hollywood Studios expects the new character Ahsoka to join Star Tours.

EPCOT is getting a slue of new experiences, keeping crowds high at this theme Park. The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has already opened, which has taken EPCOT and Guests by storm. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, is set to open this month with a meet and greet with Moana to follow. Additionally, Test Track will be revamped in collaboration with Chevrolet. But while we wait for all these magnificent changes and transformations, we can’t forget the attractions that initially captured our hearts.
Iconic Attractions at Disney World
Disney World is known for some of the most iconic attractions at theme Parks. Though some rides are remakes of the originals in Disneyland, there are plenty that are originals of Disney World, too. At Disney World, Guests can enjoy classics like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, “its a small world”, Space Mountain, and Jungle Cruise.
Some rides specific to Disney World are Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Slinky Dog Dash, Spaceship Earth, and Avatar Flight of Passage. What’s most unique is that these attractions are not in just one Park. In fact, classic rides, both originals to Disney World and Disneyland, are scattered throughout all four Parks. This gives Guests the experience of new, old, iconic, and reimaged attractions no matter where they visit.
Living with the Land
One attraction unique to EPCOT is Living with the Land. This ride is a gentle boat tour as Guests cruise past greenhouses and discover the history of farming. Although it may not sound like much, Disney never disappoints with its ability to show innovation in a way that can be fun and educational. As Guests experience the growing techniques inside Disney World’s greenhouses, they can “Discover a cornucopia of fruits and veggies from around the world—some modified to jaw-dropping effect,” Disney writes.
Some of these fruits and vegetables are jaw-dropping indeed, as a Guest shares their recent experiences on the ride. While the attraction is slow-paced and perfect for the entire family to enjoy, it seems an item had to be removed after being deemed inappropriate for those under age.

Item Removed from Living with the Land Attraction
The fruits, vegetables, and plants being grown in this attraction are much more than just for show. Horticulturalists use growing techniques and cross-breeding to help feed a growing planet. With these techniques comes a difference in shape and size for many ordinary items like watermelon, cucumber, and tomato. “However, sometimes these experiments don’t turn out exactly how Disney may have thought, with the company being forced to remove a certain graphic eggplant from the ride,” Inside the Magic details.
Inside, the Magic reported, “A guest recently shared a photo of an eggplant that was reportedly removed due to its resemblance to the male anatomy.” Though it’s never Disney’s intent to display something that is sensitive to Guests, the way a fruit grows is much beyond anyone’s control. The eggplant was removed once noticed, which probably left some Guests giggling at the odd shape.
The attraction has Mickey Mouse-shaped bushes, which are certainly trimmed to look as though and intended to be on display for Guests. Maybe not so much the eggplant, as shown below. But regardless, Disney is always swift to do the right thing and keep the show going!
