The 2022 D23 Expo has arrived! With the weekend of September 9 – 11, 2022, filled with Disney news, we’re excited to have some sneak peek of information about upcoming Disney attractions and experiences throughout Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and beyond.
The newest piece of information revolves around EPCOT’s newest incoming attraction, “Journey of Water Inspired by Moana,” and we are both amazed and excited at the news of the enticing experience.

With EPCOT’s massive overhaul from Future World and World Showcase to the new four neighborhoods approach, including World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase, we’re shifting our focus to World Nature, where Moana (2016) is preparing to take center stage.
Get this… the Journey of Water Inspired by Moana will feature a 16-foot-tall Te Feiti!

She is absolutely stunning, and we simply can’t wait to see this Disney Park experience unfold at EPCOT.
Disney describes the incoming Journey of Water Inspired by Moana as follows:
Designed for all ages, Journey of Water will allow Guests to explore and engage with water as it travels from our skies to our oceans and back again. Walt Disney Imagineering partnered with artists and cultural consultants from Walt Disney Animation Studios to bring this experience to life, and our team tasked themselves with capturing the beauty of the natural water cycle within the attraction. We were also inspired by Moana’s fierce determination to protect her environment – her bond with water is unique, and we are excited for guests to learn about the importance of water and experience its playful personality just as she did.

Plus, we also know that the Moana attraction will feature familiar shapes and characters carved into the rocks and waterways throughout Journey of Water.
