Ready to do a little EPCOT shopping? Great news as Disney’s calendar reveals a World Showcase merchandise location will finally be reopening soon!

EPCOT is the highlight of Disney news recently. Not only are we preparing for the Memorial Day weekend opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, but we’re also eagerly awaiting the Spring opening of EPCOT’s newest restaurant, Connections Cafe & Eatery.

The new restaurant is designed with similar tones to the new flagship merchandise store called Creations (RIP MouseGears). But, don’t spend all your Disney savings at the Creations Shop! Get ready to stroll the World Showcase where you’ll find a small but impressive shop called Souk-al-Magreb.

Not only is the World Showcase bustling with the excitement of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival through July 4, 2022, but soon Guests will once again be able to shop in the Morocco Pavilion‘s Souk-al-Magreb store.

Souk-al-Magreb is currently closed for refurbishment. Disney’s refurbishment calendar initially listed the shop being closed through February 5, 2022, but the refurbishment was largely extended, listing the shop closed through April 23, 2022.

The great news is that according to Disney’s refurbishment calendar, as of April 24, 2022, Souk-al-Magreb will be opening its doors to Guests once again! Will it still hold similar Moroccan merch? Disney has yet to reveal that news.

The beautiful Morroco Pavilion has undergone a transformation as a mutual agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco (who fully funded and designed the Pavilion) and Disney has resulted in Disney assuming all operations of Morocco.

Could this mean the Souk-al-Magreb shop could see more Disney-inspired merchandise such as merch from Aladdin (1992) since you can spot Princess Jasmine in the Morroco Pavilion?

Disney recently made changes to the table-service restaurant, Spice Road Table. They also have yet to open the belly dancing restaurant, Restaurant Marrakesh in the back portion of the EPCOT Pavilion.

We will continue to watch closely as Walt Disney World Resort reveals updates to the Morocco Pavilion!
