FIRST LOOK at New Walt Statue Coming to EPCOT

Hold onto your seats, Disney fans! The news is going to just keep coming. Disney fans have arrived, and the 2022 D23 Expo will not disappoint with all sorts of exciting news and Disney Park experiences on the way for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Parks and Resorts around the globe.

We’ve already shared the news of EPCOT’s massive new structure coming for Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, along with a model and video update of Splash Mountain’s replacement, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Now, we’re getting a FIRST LOOK at the stunning new Walt statue coming to EPCOT.

Not only will Magic Kingdom Park feature the iconic Partner’s Statue of Walt and Mickey Mouse hand in hand in front of Cinderella Castle, but now EPCOT will also have a Walt Disney statue located near Spaceship Earth called “Dreamers Point.”

As part of the historic transformation of EPCOT, teams have been reimagining the front of the park and the entry experience for guests. In the future, there will be a new location near Spaceship Earth called Dreamers Point with a spectacular view of the park and a new statue of Walt Disney! Disney Imagineers are now working to bring this new statue to life.

We’re thrilled to hear this Walt statue project is still a go for EPCOT. With no news of the previously announced Mary Poppins attraction or the Spaceship Earth overhaul, we were beginning to wonder about Walt!

We are, however, still waiting for word about when the new Walt Disney statue will be placed at EPCOT’s World Celebration but will keep Disney Tips readers updated as soon as we learn more.
