The Best FREE Souvenirs You Can Get at Walt Disney World Right Now

Finding ways to remember your Walt Disney World vacation does not have to break the bank. While some Disney souvenirs available for purchase can be quite costly, there are actually some free souvenirs that are just as (if not more) magical.

Here are the complimentary souvenirs you can pick up during your next Walt Disney World vacation:

Park Maps

One of the easiest souvenirs to take home from Walt Disney World can be found at the entrance to every Disney Park and at your Disney Resort. Park maps are fun to collect since they change annually or more, so you can gather up a full collection at home of different maps from each of your trips.

Some Guests have even gotten very creative in crafting DIY projects with park maps, making items like picture frames, jewelry, and more. Whether you opt to create something new with your maps or store them as part of your Disney collection, these are souvenirs you can’t miss before you head home from Walt Disney World.

Celebration Buttons

There is always something to celebrate at Walt Disney World! Celebration buttons are available at the front desk and select merchandise locations at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, at Guest Relations, and at most merchandise locations in each of the four theme parks.

You can find celebration buttons for everything from birthdays to anniversaries, and even first visits and they are totally free! Simply ask a Cast Member where you can get one, and your button can be personalized with your name or the event you are celebrating.

In addition to serving as a fun souvenir, the buttons share your celebration with other Guests and Cast Members, so your trip can become even more exciting as you are wished “Happy Birthday,” or “Congrats.” And, you may even find some extra magical moments, too.

Stickers

Some Disney Cast Members carry stickers with them to surprise younger Guests with, but even if you are an adult any Cast Member would be happy to share if they have them!

Stickers do not have set locations like most of the other items on this list, so you would have to simply stumble upon a Cast Member who is giving them out, but if you happen to see them you might end up with stickers of Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and more.

Autographs

It was a long couple of years without the ability to get autographs from Disney characters, but with the return of traditional character meet and greets, Guests can once again go home with pages of autographs.

You can purchase an autograph book at Walt Disney World, or bring something more personalized from home for them to sign. Some Guests bring blank photo frames, sneakers, and T-shirts to load up with autographs, but the opportunities are endless!

Wilderness Explorer Books & Badges

Wilderness Explorers

Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom can join the Wilderness Explorer program, yes, inspired by Russell’s troop in Up! (2009). You can pick up a Wilderness Explorer book by the entrance to Discovery Island, and use the book as a guide to complete various activities around the park.

Each time you complete an activity, a Cast Member will give you a sticker badge to add to the book, so you can keep exploring until you achieve every badge. The activities are fun for both kids and adults, and the free souvenir of the book is a special keepsake unique to your trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Bringing extra cash to Walt Disney World is always a safe bet, but remember that there are some free souvenirs to be found around Disney Parks and Resorts. Enjoy your visit (and your fuller wallet!)
