My Disney Cruise Line Experience During Covid Part 6: Dining

One of the many things, Guests love about cruising with Disney Cruise Line is all the incredible dining options. The best part is that your food is included with the price of your vacation except for the two signature restaurants, a coffee shop, and all alcohol. Most room service is included, but some is extra.

Each night there are two sit-down dining times, and you have the same time your entire stay. We had Animators Palate, Royal Court, and Enchanted Garden. You go through rotational dining, which means you have your assigned restaurant that night with your assigned serving team that you have your entire trip.

They have specific meals, but if something on the menu does not look good, let your server team know because they are great about giving options around what you like. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, no worries, they are excellent about working around that to make sure you are taken care of.

If you have a favorite food, fair warning, they may give it to you every night on a side plate. My dad mentioned he liked salmon and what did they give him every night? Salmon, even if it wasn’t on the menu. He would get a full entree with something else, but they would still give him a side of it.

I am vegetarian and have a dairy allergy, so they were wonderful about making sure that there would be delicious meals I could have. They would give me the menu for the next day’s restaurant the night before to see if anything looked good and if it didn’t, they would have something custom made for me. They even made sure that there would be a dairy free dessert each night.

Besides the sit down dining, there are also plenty of other options. Cabanas is a buffet style restaurant and you may even run into your server there. One of my favorite things about Cabanas is that they have seating outside and you have a beautiful view.

Flo V8 Cafe was also a great option. You walk up to the window, and there are so many different choices like burgers, pizza, wraps, salads, and so much more. I talked to one of the servers, and she was able to bring out the chef, and he made sure that there was something each day I could have that was vegetarian and dairy free. They made me a veggie wrap which was absolutely delicious.

Make sure to leave great tips for your servers. They work extremely hard to give you such an incredible stay, and it is truly appreciated when you do. If you go to Guest Services, you can leave an extra gratuity for them or give them cash.

So if you were wondering if you will have good food on your Disney Cruise, the answer is yes. We never took the elevator; we only took the stairs to help burn off some of those extra calories.
