Ooooooh! New Frozen Treats Available In Magic Kingdom

Sweet treats and Disney snacks are an essential part of any vacation in Walt Disney World. After all, Disney calories don’t count, right?! From seasonal treats, to Guest favorites that are available all year round, and even limited edition snacks, there’s plenty to choose from when spending time in the Disney Parks and Resorts.

Of course we all have our favorite Disney snacks to taste at least once during a trip to Lake Buena Vista. What’s your favorite? Mickey beignets? A Mickey Premium Bar? Dole Whip? A warm pretzel with cheese sauce, or maybe even a warm cinnamon roll? There’s so much to choose from, eh? And that’s not even considering treats inspired by Disney characters and attractions.

Are you like us here at Disney Tips, and love to try new things? Are you also partial to a helping of Dole Whip? Well we have the lowdown on the new Dole Whip offerings that have arrived at Magic Kingdom, that you definitely won’t want to miss out on this summer!

A New Addition to Tomorrowland

Whether you’ve just taken a ride of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, or plan to ride later, with the aim of becoming a Galactic Hero, make sure to stop by Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies. Located next to the Star Traders store in Tomorrowland, this Walt Disney World dining location is known for serving up ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, smoothies and fountain drinks.

Just this week, they’ve had a new addition to the menu – the Alien Freeze. Not only does it look super cute, but also sounds delicious too. For $6.49, Guests can enjoy blue raspberry slush, topped with lime-flavored Dole Whip. It’s topped with three sugared eyes, making it just like having your very own Toy Story (1995) Alien.

It sounds like a refreshing treat to enjoy under the shade of an umbrella, whilst watching the Tomorrowland Speedway cars pass by. Don’t wait around to eat it though – you want to enjoy the Dole Whip whilst it’s still cold!

An Exclusive Treat to Aloha Isle

On the opposite side of Magic Kingdom to the Alien Freeze, another new treat has arrived at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. Why not grab this frozen snack before or after a show at Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room? The Fritz Freeze made its debut this week, just around the corner from this classic Magic Kingdom attraction.

Vanilla and raspberry soft serve ice cream are swirled together and sit atop a pineapple juice float. Finished with a red chocolate feather, this frozen delight is named after Fritz, who is one of the masters of ceremony at the Enchanted Tiki Room. Grab yours for  $7.49, and enjoy as you pass through Adventureland. Be sure to eat it quickly to avoid a fruity mess in the Floridian heat!

Other Dole Whip Treats

Of course, there are plenty of other Dole Whip treats to enjoy in Magic Kingdom if you’d rather skip the Alien Freeze and the Fritz Freeze.

We love the sound of the Tropical Serenade, that’s also available at Aloha Isle. Coconut soft-serve sits atop a helping of the famous POG juice (also known as Jungle Juice in Disney’s Animal Kingdom), or pineapple-orange-guava juice for those Guests who aren’t familiar with this delicious drink just yet. The Tropical Serenade is served with an upside-down pineapple cake pop too.

Another great alternative is the I Lava You Float, which is served at Sunshine Tree Terrace across from the Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland. Whilst this Disney snack isn’t new, it’s a firm favorite amongst Guests. Orange Dole Whip is served on top of Fanta Strawberry and Red Passionfruit Syrup, and is finished with popping candy. If you are a fan of the Pixar short, Lava, this is a must-try snack!

You don’t have to venture too far if you’re in Fantasyland and are in need of a helping of Dole Whip. The Snow White Cone from Storybook Treats will make the perfect treat after riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Lemon-flavored Dole Whip is served in a blue cone, and topped with a chocolate bird and sugar bow.

If You’d Rather Skip Dole Whip

You don’t have to miss out on Disney character-inspired treats if you’d rather pass on Dole Whip.

Storybook Treats in Fantasyland offer the Seven Dwarfs Speciality Cone for $5.95. This cone is topped with chocolate coffee and vanilla caramel soft serve ice cream, and finished with a chocolate belt buckle and chocolate face, featuring one of the seven dwarfs. Will you get the dwarf that is most like you? Be sure to check back at Storybook Treats if you are visiting later on in the year, as there may be a different soft-serve flavor being served with the cone.

Do you enjoy frozen slush? If so, then stop by Prince Eric’s Village Market after a ride on Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid, and order a Mermaid Slushy. Frozen blue raspberry and frozen green apple are topped with whipped cream and a mermaid tail! Be careful of younger Guests in your party who will want to share with you!

It’s so exciting to hear about the new, themed frozen treats that are coming available at the Walt Disney World Resort. The arrival of new snacks helps to keep visits to the Disney theme parks fresh and exciting. They also provide opportunities to try new things and find new-favorite Disney snacks to enjoy.

Other places to keep a look out for new Dole Whip treats include: Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort; and the quick-service dining locations in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. Make sure to stop by the Snack Shack and get your very own Hei Hei Cone or Motonui Island Twist whilst taking a break from the water fun!
