Calling all Disney foodies! It’s time to roll up the sleeves and prepare to dig into some scrumptious new food at Walt Disney World Resort.
Head on over to EPCOT where we’re seeing the construction walls come down around EPCOT’s newest dining experience, Connections Café & Eatery.
The new quick-service restaurant, Connections Eatery is said to “Take your taste buds on a tour around the world with dishes inspired by Italian, French and Asian cuisines.” Plus, if you’re craving Starbucks, Connections Café will be the new Starbucks at EPCOT serving all sorts of necessary caffeinated beverages to help with your Disney Park day!
As you prepare to fuel your body for the day, Connections Café & Eatery will be located in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT, near the former Electrical Umbrella restaurant it has replaced. The location is near the current Creations Shop along with the newly located Club Cool.
Connections Eatery will be open for both lunch and dinner with the same menu and pricing to match the two meals.
First up, let’s check out the “Burgers and Chicken” portion of the menu. Options include the French Bistro Burger, Southwestern Burger, American Classic Burger, Banh Mi Burger, Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich, and the Mediterranean Burger. Pricing ranged between $11.99 and $12.99.
Not in the mood for a sandwich or burger? No worries! Connections Eatery will dish out delicious pizza choices including a Meatball Pizza, Five-Cheese Pizza, and Pepperoni Pizza. They will also offer a plant-based pizza called the Curry Spice Pizza. Pricing for pizza ranges between $10.49 and $10.99.
You’ll also find two yummy salad options including the General Tso Chicken Salad for $11.49 and the Niçoise-style Salad for $10.29.
Side selections include Coleslaw ($4.49), French Fries ($4.49), Mediterranean Side Salad ($3.79), and A Cuties Mandarin ($1.99).
Plus, the kids won’t go hungry with options that come with two sides and milk or water including the Kids’ Cheeseburger ($7.99), Grilled Chicken Bao ($7.49), Chicken Breast Nuggets Basket ($7.99), and the Five-Cheese Pizza ($7.99)
Now, let’s talk about the BEST part… Dessert of course! Disney foodies will enjoy the Liege Waffle (Brioche Dough with Pearl Sugar, Strawberries, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce) for $5.29, the Apple Pie Gelato Shake for $7.29, and the Mango-Coconut Milk Shake Topped with Pomegranate-Molasses Drizzle for $7.29.
Fountain beverages, wine, beer, and the specialty cocktail, Cucumber and Thai Basil Cooler (Hendrick’s Gin, Cucumber, Cane Sugar, Lemon, Thai Basil, Ginger Bitters – $14), are also available. Plus, several allergy-friendly adaptations can be made to many of the menu items listed above.
While Disney has yet to announce an official opening date, we do know the restaurant will open in “Spring 2022”. Just be sure when you enter Connections Café & Eatery LOOK DOWN! The floors are inspired by Walt Disney’s art.
