Traveling to Walt Disney World can be a magical and romantic vacation for you and your significant other. Whether you’re in a new relationship, visiting during your honeymoon, or celebrating a milestone anniversary, it can be a great place to discover (and re-discover) magic. This one may be a bit of a no-brainer. But it’s worth mentioning because some people may forget to capture a romantic moment – especially if you’re in the middle of enjoying some quality time or a Disney World attraction. It’s also worth considering purchasing a Disney Photopass – so you’re not always on the hook to photograph everything yourself. Taking advantage of the service saves you from constantly pulling your phone out – or wasting battery life on your phone. Many people don’t realize it, but Hollywood Studios provides dozen of fun and exciting spots for romantic photos – especially at night.

Get Cozy on a Coaster

If you’ve ever been to Hollywood Studios, you know they have some of the biggest thrills out of any Disney World theme Park. Although the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are not the newest and shiniest attractions at the Park, they remain classics for couples. Unlike Space Mountain, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster seats people in pairs. So you will no doubt be sitting next to your special someone as you speed forward, spin upside-down, and scream through the indoor roller coaster. But since you are next to one another – you can hold hands during the entire ride – just make sure you don’t crush, scratch, or injure your partner’s fingers or palm.

There are many places to enjoy a quick bite at the theme Park, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t find lovely, quiet places. One location worth recommending is the Brown Derby. Often cited as the nicest restaurant in Hollywood Studios, it provides you and your lover the chance to enjoy some wine, stare into each other eyes, and discuss how Disney should retheme the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has more shows and entertainment than any other Disney World Park. Is anything more romantic than sitting with your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, or partner and watching love unfold in Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage? The short answer is yes – taking them to see Fantasmic! The theme Park’s classic nighttime show is a favorite among hardcore Disney fans and first-time visitors. It’s a beautiful mix of characters, animation, water effects, and fireworks, giving the audience butterflies.

Whether you two are Star Wars fans or not, walking around the Galaxy’s Edge area of the park at night can be an incredibly romantic experience. For starters, the crowds are almost nonexistent, allowing you to walk hand in hand or star gaze quietly. The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area is also beautifully illuminated at night, creating a unique and special atmosphere you won’t find in any other place at Disney World.

Go Toy Story Manic

This concept may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But, sometimes, a great bonding experience between couples can be a fun, competitive game. Of course, this depends upon the game and the individuals. But casual, friendly games can be fun if taken lightly enough – and this is Disney World, after all. You can also wager against one another – the loser gives the winner a massager, or the winner gets to pick where you guys go on your next vacation.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be a great date night – although there are other options at Disney World. The best bet for planning a night out (or vacation) with our significant other is to consider their interests. Whether that’s Hollywood Studios or one of the other Disney theme parks – it should be pretty easy to find romantic things to do at Walt Disney World.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
