If you’re going to Walt Disney World on May the 4th

If you’re actually going to be in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May the 4th, then congratulations. you’re one of the lucky ones who actually secured a reservation to be in the Disney Park on this special day.

The Outer Rim planet of Batuu opened to Disney Parks Guests back in 2019 at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park in Orlando, Florida. The Star Wars-themed land is set between Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019) in the Star Wars timeline, and features an array of Star Wars Easter Eggs.

Start you May the 4th in Walt Disney World by literally running to the rides. Make your first stop at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Seriously, the lines for this ride will be out of this world today. Make this your number one stop first thing in the morning to avoid the crazy-long lines that will inevitably come.

Follow this by the popular Walt Disney World simulator attraction Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, which will see equally long lines.

Next, head over to the Milk Stand and grab your favorite Blue, or Green, milk. This is quickly becoming a Galaxy’s Edge classic and you can’t miss out on this on May 4. Walk around Black Spire Outpost with your colored milk and enjoy the galactic ambiance.

After this, don’t miss out on Star Tours. It would be almost criminal to miss out on this Disney’s Hollywood Studios timeless classic on Star Wars Day.

Next, grab a bite to eat at the quick-service restaurant Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The menu features Star Wars-themed comfort foods and is a crowd favorite.

After lunch, head to the Droid Depot and build your very own little droid buddy. There is no better day to do this than May 4. These little guys are even Bluetooth enabled and respond to the remote control you get when you build it.

Spend the afternoon strolling through Galaxy’s Edge and the rest of Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, but be sure to come back at night for a boozy or not-so-boozy refreshment from Oga’s Cantina. Sadly, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, the fireworks show, is still temporarily out of commission.
