Lottery Ticket Winners Start Saving up for Disney Trip

By now, it’s become common knowledge that a Disney vacation will cost any family a pretty penny, but you’d think that millionaires aren’t concerned with the price.

However, for one lottery-winning couple, a trip to Disneyland Resort is one of the first things they’ll be saving up for.

Ralph and Jan Janzen are two residents of Langley, British Columbia, whose lives changed when they realized they had won the lottery. Not just any lottery, but the Maxmillions Lotto Max, winning them the million-dollar prize.

The couple told Daily Hive News that they didn’t believe it at first. Ralph reportedly had to bring Jan her reading glasses for her to accept their winning status. “I thought he was lying to me,” Jan said in the Daily Hive News report.

After the lucky couple realized they’d won, they set aside money for a couple of trips.

The first trip they’re interested in saving up for is a family vacation to Disneyland. Considering the distance between California and British Columbia (over 1,200 miles), we can see why the couple decided to save up instead of diving headfirst into a Disney vacation.

The Janzens told Daily Hive News that their experience “has been surreal,” but they’re excited that “their dream of helping their kids and grandkids has come true.”

Another trip the lucky couple has already begun saving up for is a holiday somewhere tropical. Instead of spending Langley, British Columbia’s harsh winters in a cabin, the couple wants to escape somewhere a bit warmer.

Ralph and Jen Janzen haven’t said anything more about the Disneyland trip they plan to take, but with the help of a million-dollar lottery prize, we’re sure it’ll be the vacation of a lifetime!
