It’s one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved rides.

For many Guests at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Disneys Animal Kingdom theme parks, nothing beats the creepy theming and thrills of Disney’s Tower of Terror attraction.

The spooky ride opened back in the then-named Disney-MGM Studios back in 1994, but did you know there is a second Tower of Terror on property – one that many do not realize actually moves?

For years, Guests driving down World Drive at the Walt Disney World Resort have encountered the promotional sign of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror. The nostalgic sign has long been advertising the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and features a free-floating elevator moving within the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel

Guests driving to the Walt Disney World Resort lately, however, have been met with a billboard that’s been out of commission for some time. The moving elevator feature of the sign has been broken for a while, with many Disney World Guests not even realizing that it is meant to move.

Guests visiting Walt Disney World this week, though, were surprised when Disney’s second Tower of Terror appeared to be fixed! TikTok user @waltdisneyworldparks shared a fun video of the Tower of Terror sign moving again:

The video shows the Tower of Terror billboard in full working glory, complete with its moving elevator. The video’s narrator claims that the sign “reminds [them] of [their] childhood,” which we would completely agree with. Driving onto Disney World property and seeing this infamous sign always brings us back to Disney vacations in the 90s when the Tower of Terror was still a new thrill ride in the Parks.

Unfortunately, the video reveals that “a week later, it was broken again,” so don’t get your hopes up if you’re planning a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios any time soon!

The attraction itself has many incarnations across Disney’s theme parks, but all feature the thrilling elevator drop. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, the Hollywood Tower Hotel is located on Sunset Boulevard and takes Guests through a spooky library preshow to the service elevators featuring none other than Twilight Zone host Rod Serling.

Guests at Tokyo DisneySea and Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris also enjoy different versions of the attraction, while in Disney’s California Adventure, the attraction saw a controversial refurbishment into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! that saw actors like Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana reprising their famous Marvel Studios roles.
