The wait is finally over! Walt Disney World’s nighttime spectacular returned last night for the first time in nearly three years. Fans are more excited than ever to watch the dazzling pyrotechnics, the stunning effects, and that one-of-a-kind Disney live entertainment.

But Fantasmic! has come back to us with change after change being made to it. Considering all of these changes, coupled with the fact that Guests can’t wait to get back to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, we can assume that things will be a little hectic.

So we’ve gathered everything we know about seeing the show now that it’s finally reopened.

The first significant change to take note of is that the standby queue is the only option. Virtual queue and Genie+ Lightning Lane options are currently unavailable despite the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater being equipped with FastPass entrances.

Not only this, but Disney World isn’t allowing Guests to line up early to combat the lines.

If you’re planning on lining up early, be prepared for a Cast Member to point you in the right direction. Reportedly, a Cast Member or two will be stationed at the entrance, advising Guests to check back in the evening once the line has opened.

This is becasue Fantasmic! isn’t the only Disney live entertainment in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage will be performed before the nighttime spectacular, giving the Disney Park even more reason to stop lines from forming too early.

Something else to remember is that Fantasmic! has not been added to the Disability Access Service (the DAS Pass). If Guests need accommodations, it’s advised to seek out a Cast Member who can direct them to the right section.

Keep all of these changes in mind to plan for Fantasmic! properly so there are no surprises.

Watch as your favorite Disney characters are brought to life during this nighttime show. Fantasmic! features characters from over 25 different movies, such as The Lion King (1994), The Little Mermaid (1989), Mulan (1998), and more!
