Why You Should Stay At a Disney Resort

One of the first decisions you have to make when it comes to your Walt Disney World vacation is where to stay. Disney World offers numerous Resort options from Value Resort, Moderate Resort, Deluxe Resort and Deluxe Villas. You also have the opportunity to stay off Disney property at nearby Resorts. All of these accommodations have pros and cons. We, however are huge fans of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. We have why we think this is the best option when wanting to experience the Disney Magic.

Options for Everyone

One of the reasons we love staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is there are options for every situation. We love that Disney offers different areas in their Value Resort, Moderate Resort and Deluxe Resort. If we are looking at saving some money while visiting, the Value Resorts are an excellent option. On the other hand, if we celebrate something big and want to stay somewhere special, we can choose a Deluxe Resort such as Disney’s Polynesian or Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney also offers a variety of different room choices that can accommodate different sizes of families. At Disney’s Art of Animation, larger families can enjoy the fun, themed suites featuring either Lion King, Nemo or Cars. For extended families that want to stay together, the Deluxe Resorts offer 1 and 2 bedroom suites. Also, if you are traveling as a couple, Pop Century provides a great option as the murphy bed can be kept up, giving Guests a nice workspace. No matter what Guests are looking for when it comes to a Resort stay, Disney has options.

Transportation

One of the biggest pros to staying at a Disney Resort is the free transportation to and from the four theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. It is so nice to have others be in charge of the driving and transportation so we can relax on vacation. Disney provides a variety of different transportation options, and when choosing your Disney Resort you should consider what style of transportation you want to experience. Most Resorts will offer Disney bus transportation; however, some offer more than just buses. Near Magic Kingdom, you can choose to stay at one of the Monorail Resorts (Disney’s Contemporary, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spay, and Disney’s Polynesian), giving you prime access to Magic Kingdom via the monorail. If you are a fan of boats, you can look at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness that have boat transportation to Magic Kingdom, Yacht and Beach Club, and BoardWalk Inn that offers boat transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The newest mode of transportation is the Skyliner. If you want to get to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios quickly, consider staying at Disney’s Riviera, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Pop Century or Art of Animation. These all have Skyliner access getting Guests quickly to these two theme parks. We enjoy having these transportation options while at Disney World. It makes our trip a lot smoother.

Food Choices

Another reason we enjoy staying at the Disney Resorts is because of the available food options. We appreciate starting our mornings with Mickey waffles and wrapping it up with a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich. If Guests have any food allergies or concerns, Disney and Disney Resorts are outstanding to work with, making Guests feel comfortable with their food options. We also enjoy that we can visit other resorts than our own to experience different styles of dining. Visiting a lounge at a Disney Resort is a fun way to see the Resort and experience the feel of the Resort. We also enjoy scheduling sit-down meals at Disney Resorts such as California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Disney does a great job at having a variety of dining options throughout their Resorts.

Clean

We have always felt that the Disney Resorts were extremely clean, but they feel even cleaner and sanitized following the implementation of new cleaning measures. We enjoy staying at a Disney Resort because we know that we don’t have to worry about cleanliness as Disney prides itself on making sure that rooms are clean and welcoming to Guests. It isn’t just our rooms cleaned, but throughout the Resort property, Disney makes sure that common areas are cleaned and sanitized. Knowing these measures are being taken makes us feel better overall.

Helpful

Disney Cast Members are truly some of the most helpful people we have worked with. We love staying at a Disney Resort because we know that if anything goes wrong or we need help, the Cast Members working there will help us. This brings us peace of mind when traveling with kids that if something happens, such as they get sick, Disney will help us work through that. We appreciate all their positive attitudes and willingness to work hard to make our trips outstanding.

Magic

Finally, we love staying at a Disney Resort because we love being in the magic. From the moment we arrive at our Disney Resort, we feel that Disney magic is alive, and we love it! There isn’t anything like the Disney magic anywhere else, and we love how when we leave the Theme Park, we still are in the magic. From the Disney touches throughout the resorts to the wonderful Cast Members, the Disney Resorts are truly magical, and we love staying there.

We love staying at a Disney Resort during our Disney World vacation, from the transportation to the amazing magic. We highly recommend that you look into staying at a Disney Resort for your next Disney vacation.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
