If you are looking for the VIP experience and a chance to rock out with Aerosmith, look no further than Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. After checking out Aerosmith in the studio, guests are invited to travel via super stretch limo to their concert across town in Los Angeles. With time running short, it’s no wonder that the limo launches out of the loading area to take guests on a whirling neon filled trip complete with several inversions. Rock on!

2. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

This eerie thriller can be found right next door to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and displays an ominous presence on the street as it stands decaying for all guests to see. Taking guests through the deserted lobby, it is soon disclosed that something sinister happened on a night long ago. Guests soon find themselves on an elevator that is out of control with only one stop…the twilight zone!

3. Space Mountain

There is no greater thrill in the Magic Kingdom than this in the dark roller coaster experience in Tomorrowland. Featuring two tracks named Alpha and Omega, this out of this world attraction launches guests into near darkness and rockets them through outer space on an adventure that is out of this world.

4. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

This new and improved version of Test Track takes guests into a futuristic world of design where they can step into the creative process and dream up their own car called a “sim car.” After a thrilling pass through various scenarios testing capability, responsiveness, and efficiency, guests are then taken on a joy ride around a massive outdoor loop to test out their car’s power. After the ride is over, guests can check out some model cars as well as see how their car measured compared to other guests from that same day. Test Track is the fastest attraction in Walt Disney World, so be sure to check out this thrilling experience!

5. Mission:SPACE

Recently receiving a new face-lift, Mission: SPACE is a great thrill ride located in Epcot’s Future World. This thrilling experience offers guests the chance to go through astronaut training and launch into space to explore! The attraction offers up two versions to guests: the Green Team which is a tamer version of the experience and the Orange Team which offers the full G Forces that astronauts feel when blasting into space. The centrifugal force offers up a sensation like no other, and guests who love this attraction return over and over again to enjoy it. From the initial launch to some incidents that occur along the way, this thrilling attraction is out of this world.

6. Expedition Everest

This attraction dominates the skyline of Asia in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and is home to the Yeti, the mythical keeper of the forbidden mountain. After passing through a museum dedicated to the Yeti and seeing that a previous expedition might not have ended so well, guests board a subdued tea train but soon find themselves deep in the mountain and face to face with the beast himself. If guests make it through their encounter with the Yeti, they’re sure to return to experience it all over again!

7. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

This classic roller coaster is the wildest ride in the wilderness in the Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland and takes guests through an abandoned mining town. From sharp turns to dips and hills Big Thunder Mountain offers up thrills that the whole family can enjoy together. When riding at night, look for the second floor of the saloon where some remaining residents are throwing a party.

8. Avatar Flight of Passage

Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the two attractions located in the new Pandora – The World of Avatar area within Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Prepare to straddle what feels somewhat like one of those motorcycles at an arcade, be secured in, and then using 3D screen technology, awesome 4D effects, and motion simulation – feel like you are literally flying on the back of a mountain banshee in the most exhilarating way. Your banshee (somewhat like a flying dragon) will soar through the sky as it takes you on the ride of a lifetime through Pandora – The World of Avatar.

From encounters with mythical beasts to being transported to the twilight zone, there is no shortage of thrilling attractions to visit in Walt Disney World!

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
