8 Disney Restaurants to Dress Up and Dine In

It can be easy to spend an entire Disney vacation in comfy and casual clothes, especially if the Floridian weather is good, and the temperatures are high. But have you ever considered planning for at least one evening or day to dress up a little fancy, during a trip to Walt Disney World?

Here, we let you know about our favorite Walt Disney World restaurants to dress up and dine in. It’s fun to make an effort for an evening, and wear your favorite fancy clothes!

Citricos

Located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Guests are served up dinner in a dining room inspired by Mary Poppins Returns (2018). This Disney dining location has recently been refurbished so Guests can enjoy Floridian cuisine with a Mediterranean influence, from a menu crafted by Chef Andres Mendoza, in a stylish and elegant, yet whimsy setting. As a Disney Signature Dining experience, there is a dress code, so if you are dining at Citrico’s, then it’s the perfect opportunity to dress up for the evening.

Disney Tips suggestion: Why not begin your evening by enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine in Citrico’s Lounge before your advanced dining reservation? Following dinner, retire to the Enchanted Rose, and enjoy shimmering sips in an elegant lounge inspired by Beauty and the Beast (2017).

California Grill

Looking for a fine dining experience with a sunset and fireworks view? California Grill is the restaurant to dine in. Located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Guests can enjoy Californian cooking, overlooking the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon. This Disney Signature Dining experience currently features a 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu for all Guests to enjoy from, including appetiser, entree and dessert. Make sure to secure an advance dining reservation for California Grill to avoid disappointment.

Disney Tips suggestion: securing a dining reservation around 7:45 p.m. should mean that you get to watch Disney Enchantment from the platform outside of California Grill before you are served dessert. The platform is only for Guests of California Grill, and allows you to enjoy the firework spectacular whilst the soundtrack is played over the speakers. If you secure an earlier dining reservation and finish dinner prior to the fireworks, enjoy a drink in the California Grill Lounge before heading out onto the platform.

Le Cellier

Pass through the Victoria Gardens of the Canada Pavilion in the EPCOT World Showcase to dine in the ambience of a cozy cellar in a Canadian chateau. Le Cellier is the place to savour tender steaks, fresh seafood, cheesy poutine fries and other Canadian dishes for lunch and dinner.

Disney Tips suggestion: dining at Le Cellier for dinner provides a great opportunity for you to dress up a little. Arrive at EPCOT around an hour before your dining reservation, to allow your and your party time a gentle stroll through the Disney Park to the Canada Pavilion. A reservation around 7 p.m. will allow you plenty of time to enjoy dinner, before finding a spot in World Showcase to enjoy Harmonious. What a way to conclude a beautiful evening?

Yachtsman Steakhouse

If you’d like to enjoy steak without having to enter a Disney Park, then visit the Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Guests can enjoy premium steaks and fresh seafood in a New England-style steakhouse. As a Disney Signature Dining experience, this restaurant very much lends itself to an evening spent in your best clothes. 

Disney Tips suggestion: treat yourselves to an after-dinner beverage in the Crew’s Cup Lounge which is located next door to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Alternatively, visit the Ale & Compass Lounge off the main lobby of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

We can’t think of a more magical setting than dining in Cinderella Castle. After all it’s the sight that springs to mind for many Guests when anybody mentions Magic Kingdom, or Walt Disney World for that matter. Guests are able to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table throughout the day, for breakfast, lunch or dinner with stunning views of Fantasyland out of the stained glass windows.

Disney Tips suggestion: Dinner would make a perfect time to dress up a little fancy before finishing the evening by enjoying Disney Enchantment from Main Street USA. If there is a younger Guest in your party who has had a magical experience in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, why not continue the magic by dining in Cinderella’s Royal Table?

STK Orlando

Located at The Landing in Disney Springs, this is the place to enjoy a chic hideaway that serves up dishes from an innovative menu. You won’t experience an ultra-modern steakhouse like it! There’s plenty to choose from when it comes to food, and whilst the restaurant may be a little more pricey, it definitely warrants a night to dress up. If you’re partial to brunch, then visit STK Orlando of a weekend.

Disney Tips suggestion: after dinner, continue your evening at Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar. Alternatively, enjoy Cirque Du Soleil and Disney’s Drawn to Life before dinner.

Victoria & Albert’s

It’s a MUST to dress up if you intend on dining at Victoria & Albert’s. It’s located in the perfect setting of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and offers Guests three different dining experiences. Choose the one that’s right for you and your party.

Disney Tips suggestion: this is the perfect location to celebrate something special – an engagement, wedding anniversary, a new job, anything worth celebrating! Dress up and enjoy every moment in this exquisite Disney dining location.

Sanaa

How does African cooking with Indian flavors and a stunning view of the savannah sound? If perfect is the word you would use to describe this, then you definitely need to dine in Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Start your dining experience with the restaurant’s famous bread service, then follow with the entree of your choice. Remember to leave room for dessert too! Choose the perfect beverage to enjoy your meal with, from the extensive wine and cocktail list.

Disney Tips suggestion: secure a dinner reservation and enjoy watching the sunset over the savannah whilst enjoying your dinner. Continue your evening in the Sanaa Lounge. Don’t forget to take in the details of the beautiful lobby at the Disney Resort; it’s the ideal location to get photos to remember your fancy evening by!
