The new quick-service restaurant, Connections Eatery, adds to the extensive choice of food and snacks across EPCOT and World Showcase. The new Walt Disney World Resort restaurant is said to “Take your taste buds on a tour around the world with dishes inspired by Italian, French, and Asian cuisines.” Connections will be open for both lunch and dinner offering the same menu and pricing at each.

Connections Café will also be the new Starbucks location at EPCOT, serving a range of caffeinated beverages and Frappuccinos to help boost a long theme park day.

After a long construction period and some tantalizing sneak peeks, Disney finally revealed today that the new restaurant will be opening next week on April 27!

Disney Parks Blog went into further exciting detail about the new dining experience’s design, which features nods to Walt Disney’s original plans for EPCOT:

The new location features two distinct experiences all under one roof – an eatery on one side serving lunch and dinner menus, and a café and pastry shop on the other open all day long. This large new dining location is the next step in the ongoing transformation of EPCOT and a highlight of the newly named World Celebration neighborhood.”

Connections Café and Eatery is located near where Guest-favorite Electic Umbrella used to be, on the left-hand side past Spaceship Earth and close to the Creations Shop and Club Cool. The new quick-service dining location offers floor-to-ceiling windows so Guests can see outside into EPCOT’s World Celebration.

Guests will be able to spot the Xandarian Starblaster of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride, the Disney Park icon Spaceship Earth, as well as the new Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana when it opens.

Disney also released further glimpses inside the EPCOT restaurant. The main attraction is the colorful mural spanning one entire wall called “Global Gathering.” The artwork depicts the heart of the Walt Disney World restaurant – people from around the world gathering around food. It’s one of the largest murals Walt Disney Imagineering has ever created and will leave Guests enchanted by its details and design.

The new theme park restaurant also has three show kitchens, so Guests can watch Disney chefs grilling, sautéing, and baking everything from burgers and pizzas to milkshakes and waffles.

The menu includes a broad range of items, including the French Bistro Burger, Banh Mi Burger, Mediterranean Burger, Meatball Pizza, the plant-based Curry Spice Pizza, and General Tso Chicken Salad. Desserts featured at the Liege Waffle (Brioche Dough with Pearl Sugar, Strawberries, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce), the Apple Pie Gelato Shake, and the Mango-Coconut Milk Shake Topped with Pomegranate-Molasses Drizzle.

We can’t wait to go try the new restaurant when it opens at EPCOT theme park on April 27!
