Long lines are the bane of our existence at Walt Disney World. And lately, we have to rely on the Genie+ Gods (which is really probably just Disney Park Admin) to have our favorite rides available on Genie+ in order to skip those famous long queues.

FastPasses are sadly a thing of the past and will not be returning. They have instead been replaced by this digital system Genie+, where you can opt to skip the queue via a “lightning lane” for a price of course. There are many pros and cons to this new system and Genie+ is widely debated by parkgoers.

In a similar fashion to the retired FastPass system, only certain rides offer Lightning Lanes, and you have to be pretty lucky to get a time slot at a reasonable hour. Today, it was announced that one of our favorite rides at Walt Disney World Resort would be added to Genie+ Lighting Lane, at least for a limited time, and perhaps could be here to stay.

“NEW: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be included in Genie+ starting May 31 (through at least Aug.7). This means both Remy’s and Cosmic Rewind will be Individual Lighting Lane May 27-30. Starting May 31, Cosmic Rewind will be the only Individual Lighting Lane at EPCOT.”

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of those rides we love to see but always seems to have unbearably long lines. We gladly welcome this news that this favorite attraction will offer Lighting Lane from May 31 through the middle of summer, which is a great surprise to those who will be visiting EPCOT at Walt Disney World this summer.

This news comes alongside the announcement that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Space Mountain and, Expedition Everest will be included on Genie+ through August 7.

“That Aug. 7 date remains: Until August 7, 2022, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (beginning May 31, 2022), Space Mountain and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be included via Disney Genie+”
