Disney is full of Halloween-inspired surprises today.

And while Disney Parks has been giving us the 411 for their Halfway to Halloween celebration, this news from Disney Crusie Line might just be the best one yet.

Disney Cruise Line has just announced a BRAND-NEW Disney Halloween Cruise called “Halloween on the High Seas”!

This special Halloween-themed cruise will include spooky-inspired decor from bow to stern. Guests will encounter Halloween character meet and greets, petrifying parties, trick-or-treating, limited-time Halloween-inspired food and beverages, and even a unique appearance from Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow as the iconic Sanderson Sisters from the movie “Hocus Pocus” (1993).

Each ship participating in the Halloween on the High Seas, will also display an enchanted pumpkin tree that sprouts pumpkins and flickering lights from its branches. Too cool.

The details of this special themed holiday cruise sound so spooktacular. Disney Parks Blog announced in further detail today:

“In addition to spooky character encounters and enchanted pumpkin trees, other frighteningly fun experiences aboard Halloween on the High Seas sailings include Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, a fun-filled costume party for families (and your favorite Disney characters); villainous takeovers in the adult-exclusive venues; Halloween-themed movies on Funnel Vision; and even a ghostly take on ship announcements.”

And the best part? This cruise will be available on Disney Cruise Line ships from several ports around the United States. Hop aboard Disney Magic, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, and even the shiny brand new, Disney Wish!

Cruises will depart from Miami, Port Canaveral, Florida, San Diego, and New York City. Depending on which port you embark from you can experience locations in the Caribbean like the Bahamas and Bermuda, or to different countries like Canada and Mexico. Sailings from Port Canaveral and Miami will venture down to Castaway Cay as well. Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island specifically designed for tropical Disney fun.

This sounds like a scary good time to us! And the best part is…Halloween on the High Seas will be happening THIS year, in fall of 2022. Book tickets and learn more!

It’s been a big day for Halloween news and announcements out of Disney Parks, including the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, and even new outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
