A Disney creator recently posted a tutorial on how to make your own Mickey ears using your hair! TikTokers @eat.sleep.positivity frequent Disneyland Resort, often doing lengthy livestreams following their adventures around the Park.

The duo, Jose & Baileigh, has almost hit 250,000 followers on the platform and describes their venture in these words, “Here to spread nothin but love & positivity.” In a recent video, Baileigh shared a much-requested video on how to form Mickey ears out of your hair.

The result is absolutely adorable, so let’s dig into how it’s done. First off, it should be noted that the influencer does not refer to the look as Mickey ears. She has a much more clever title, donning them as Mickey Space Buns!

The look resembles a mixture of classic Mickey ears and Princes Leia’s buns, so it’s a perfect title! Start with your hair down and make sure it’s parted in half, down the middle. Divide your hair into two sections, and pull one of the sections up as if to create a high pigtail.

Spread your fingers through your hair and make a fist. Wrap a hairband around your fistful of hair two to three times. After that, fan out your bun, making it as big or small as you like to get your desired size ears.

Wrap the remaining hair around the hairband, using bobby pins to secure it if necessary. Repeat the process with the other half of your mane, making sure to wrap the hair in its matching spot on the opposite side of your head for symmetry.

Even out the buns and add any last-minute touches to complete the look. If you want to make your Mickey ears into a Minnie Version, try adding a bow between the buns. What a creative, inexpensive, and unique way to show a little love for the Mouse that started it all!

What do you think of this homemade Disney look? Would you wear it?
