Is This Beloved EPCOT Attraction Closing For Good?

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest news regarding Disney Parks, then you already know that January is shaping up to be a big month for closures across Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

In Disneyland Resort, fan-favorite attractions such as the popular WEB SLINGERS experience, Radiator Springs Racers, and even “it’s a small world” will be closing temporarily for refurbishments.

Closures are happening far and wide across Walt Disney World Resort. In Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will temporarily close for refurbishments while Splash Mountain closes forever to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. In Animal Kingdom, the divisive Kali River Rapids attraction will also close for refurbishment.

But over in EPCOT, one classic attraction has been having a more tumultuous time regarding refurbishment.

A few months ago, it was announced that the American Adventure would be closing indefinitely for refurbishment. However, after a few weeks, Guests were excited to find out that the official EPCOT website confirmed the American Adventure would reopen on December 17.

However, December 17 has come and gone with no re-opening and no signs of the beloved attraction re-opening. Walt Disney World’s official refurbishment calendar is missing any information regarding the American Adventure.

Unfortunately, it seems we’re right back where we started: the American Adventure is once again closed indefinitely for refurbishments, leading Guests to wonder if this attraction will ever re-open.
