Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) may be ditching the dinosaurs-on-the-mainland concept, but another upcoming sequel is ignoring the new film.
“Jurassic World Evolution 3”, the newly announced third entry in the popular park-builder video game series, is giving fans the sandbox of their dreams (and eventually nightmares): sprawling, customizable dinosaur theme parks across multiple continents.
Not just another Isla Nublar clone like the 2018 original, or one confined to mainland North America like the 2021 sequel—this game lets players open Jurassic World facilities in places like Japan, Europe, and Hawaii, bringing the fantasy of a worldwide dinosaur empire to life.
Just last month, “Jurassic World: The Experience” opened in Battersea, London—a massive, walk-through attraction that puts guests face-to-face with audio-animatronic dinosaurs, detailed sets, and that all-too-familiar feeling that you probably shouldn’t touch the fence. Another version of the attraction is now also currently running in Singapore.
And looming even larger is Universal Studios’ upcoming U.K. resort, widely rumored to include a Jurassic World-themed land. Even if that doesn’t happen, several Jurassic attractions already dominate the globe throughout the existing Universal destinations.
“Jurassic World Evolution 3”
Back in the digital realm, “Evolution 3” doubles down on this global momentum with what Frontier calls an “epic globetrotting campaign”, per the game’s official website.
For the first time, players will be able manage multiple parks across the globe. The game will also introduce juvenile dinosaurs, expanded genetics options, and greater creative control—making it less of a park management simulation and more of a true Jurassic World builder.
Jeff Goldblum returns to narrate, reprising his role as Ian Malcolm with a familiar ominous tone, having done so in the first two games in the series. He references the global fallout of genetically resurrected species and calls on us (the players) to “find hope within this chaos.”
The game’s story is in stark contrast to Jurassic World Rebirth, which is set to wipe the slate clean. Instead of exploring a world where dinosaurs live alongside humans—as introduced in the closing moments of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and expanded upon in the latest sequel, Jurassic World Dominion (2022)—Rebirth tosses that in favor of yet another dino-inhabited jungle island (this time an abandoned InGen facility teeming with mutants).
But it doesn’t really matter what the new movie does, because “Jurassic World Evolution 3”, along with Netflix’s animated series Chaos Theory and the real-world attractions, continue to show us what life is like in a world where humans and dinosaurs are forced to co-exist.

“Help life find a way,” the official synopsis for the game reads. “Build your own Jurassic World like never before. Nurture generations of awe-inspiring dinosaurs with the series debut of juveniles, create and manage sprawling prehistoric parks around the globe, and let your imagination roar with powerful new creative options.”
The game releases on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on October 21. For more information about the game, visit the official website.
Jurassic World Rebirth releases in theaters on July 2, 2025.
Meanwhile, another video game titled “Jurassic Park: Survival” is also in development. Taking fans back to the Park era, it’s set 24 hours after the events of the original 1993 film, pitting players in a first-person action-adventure story where they must survive Isla Nublar and its deadly prehistoric inhabitants using ingenuity, stealth, and available resources.
