Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is one of the places you can find unique and fun Disney character meet and greets.

Most people consider Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort the primary place to meet Mickey Mouse and other friends. But you can find just as many popular Disney friends throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Goofy at DinoLand U.S.A.

A new meet-and-greet opportunity to hang with Goofy has arrived at DinoLand U.S.A. Goofy can be found near TriceraTop Spin, in front of a Donald’s Dino-Bash backdrop.

He sports his Donald’s Dino-Bash outfit, including plaid dinosaur-themed pants and his orange dinosaur vest. He also wears a straw hat with a ribbon that matches his dinosaur-themed vest.

Meeko Meet And Greet

Meeko, the famous raccoon from Pocahontas, is now available for meet and greets. You can spot him just outside of Garden Gate Gifts, near the entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This location is also where you can spot DiVine in the early morning. For those unfamiliar, DiVine is the Animal Kingdom character who walks on stilts and is deeply covered in leaves and vines.

Other Character Meet and Greets

Many other Walt Disney World characters can be found throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

At Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island, you can have a character greeting with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Many Disney pals can also be spotted on boats cruising around the rivers of Animal Kingdom. You can find the Dino-Bash Flotilla, where Goofy and Pluto will wave as they sail.

You can also sometimes catch a “Discovery River Character Cruise,” where Disney characters from Pocahontas or The Lion King as they pass along the Discovery River.

Two additional Flotillas include one featuring Scrooge McDuck and Launchpad McQuack and another featuring characters from Up, including Russell and Dug.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
