It’s no secret that a visit to Walt Disney World can cost a pretty penny, and it’s also no secret that prices attached to Disney are constantly increasing. Disney+, Genie+, certain souvenirs, and food have all seen price hikes within the past couple of months.
Despite this long-time pattern, it’s still a surprise to hear the latest news about Walt Disney World’s newest ticket price increases, especially when they make visiting the Resort more expensive than ever.
In short, the starting prices for one-day, one-Park tickets to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT all saw price hikes as of December 8. Animal Kingdom’s starting one-day, one-Park ticket price, however, has not increased, making it the lowest priced ticket.
Walt Disney World’s ticket prices have varied depending on the date thus far, but in addition, the price will now vary by the Disney Park as well. The new variable-pricing system will have these two factors working together to create a price for a one-day, one-Park ticket to Walt Disney World.
NEW: Starting Dec. 8, Walt Disney World will implement park specific pricing for 1 day 1 park tickets. Prices will vary based on park and date.
Animal Kingdom: $109 – $159 (no increase)
Hollywood Studios: $124 – $179

As we can see in this Tweet, the price ranges for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT have all increased, while Animal Kingdom has stayed the same:
- Magic Kingdom Park: $124 – $189
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $124 – $179
- EPCOT: $114 – $179
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $109 – $159
With these new price hikes, Magic Kingdom becomes the most expensive Disney Park to visit at $189 for select one-day one-Park tickets.
In order to purchase tickets to any of these Disney Parks, check out Walt Disney World’s official website. You’ll be met with a calendar showing Guests the base price for each day of the month. It’ll look like the image above.
After that, Guests will be prompted to choose their ticket type, which will look like the image above. When purchasing tickets to Walt Disney World, it’s essential to check Park availability and to keep in mind that a Park reservation is required to visit!
