Looking for a desperate way to get attention? Well, it seems like a new trend is surfacing where Disney Park Guests decide to video themselves putting their foot in the water of a moving Disney ride at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort. The latest… a foot in the water on “it’s a small world”.
When riding along on a Disney attraction, it’s critical to follow the safety instructions by keeping your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the ride vehicle. While this may seem like common sense for many of us, unfortunately, there are people that decide to break the rules and video it… likely in hopes of going viral.
And that’s exactly what happened in this video. A man videos himself putting his foot in the water of “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Park while noting, that he “had to take a chance to cool the dogs off”. Here’s the video below posted by @maxtapa1:
So, why the theme park trend? It wasn’t too long ago we reported about a person putting their foot in the Splash Mountain water while the attraction was in motion. Another Guest also put their foot in the “it’s a small world” water and posted the video on TikTok (just like the video above) only to receive backlash from his viewers for breaking the rules.
It may not be a foot in the water, but Disney Guests have also increasingly gone viral with videos and photos of random experiences such as spraying cheese while riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, causing a fight right outside of the nighttime spectacular “Fantasmic!”, or jumping out of the Big Thunder train to retrieve a phone.
All we can guess is that it is a cry for attention to get a Disney trip video that goes viral. Hopefully, Disney will find a way to crack down on this social media trend (just like they did for the dress code/free shirt trend) before someone gets hurt.
