It’s no secret that working at Walt Disney World is difficult. Although it’s known as the Most Magical Place on Earth, we can imagine that the Cast Members may not always think so.

Whether visiting Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, or EPCOT, anyone can see that each Disney Park operates like a well-oiled machine where every worker plays their part. Out of each Disney Park, Magic Kingdom is the most extensive operation, and we can imagine things get pretty stressful.
That’s why almost nobody is surprised, or offended, at this Jungle Cruise Skipper’s departing joke.

In this video, the Skipper’s parting joke sounds a little less like joking and a little more like venting. Although the video cuts off abruptly (so we’ll never know if anyone laughed or if the departing words were immediately followed by something more uplifting), we can imagine that the wrong audience could easily find this joke offensive.
Luckily, nobody in the comments seemed to think so. If anything, some were even worried for the Jungle Cruise Skipper for daring to say something so un-magical, even if the caption admits that nobody laughed at his jokes.

The top comment reads, “the mouse is gonna take him backstage and give him 30 lashings.”
Another TikTok user writes, “Somebody give him a raise lol, sounds like he needs it,” to which the original poster replies, “I support this energy. Wish I could have tipped him.”

The Jungle Cruise Skipper is a unique Disney occupation because it involves everything from customer support to entertainment to performing. After a long day of cracking corny jokes and getting minimal laughs, it probably gets exhausting.
What do you think? Was this an appropriate departing joke or did it go too far?
