Big news is coming out of Walt Disney World Resort! Disney has revealed its beloved Disney After Hours event is making a grand return in January 2023.
2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year at Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom Park will open its TRON Lightcylce / Run. EPCOT is making way for Moana with its Journey of Water Inspired by Moana. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be celebrating the return of “Fantasmic!“, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom enjoying the return of Tree of Life Awakenings.
With special-ticked Magic Kingdom events such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney is returning another dose of magic to its after-hours experiences at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom.

Disney has announced “Disney After Hours events will return to Walt Disney World Resort starting January 2023! These fan-favorite experiences are scheduled to kick off January 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and January 9 at Magic Kingdom Park. They offer an incredible way to experience even more Disney magic during the last months of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary.”
These late-night events are extremely popular as Guests take advantage of enjoying three additional hours after the Disney Park closes to standard Park Guests. The attraction wait times are lower with a limited amount of tickets being sold, plus there are special treats, including ice cream, popcorn, and beverages that are included in the ticketed price. Ticket holders to Disney After Hours can even enter the Park for the event as early as 7:00 pm.
Ready to snag your tickets? Special event theme park tickets for Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be purchased by all Guests starting October 7, 2022, with prices ranging from $129 to $159 (plus tax). Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase Disney After Hours tickets as early as October 4.

The current Disney After Hours events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios include select nights between January 4 through April 19, 2023. Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom Park are scheduled for select nights between January 9 through March 27, 2023.
