5 Awesome Places To Dine At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the home to several great dining locations that you will definitely want to try out!  There is no reason to leave the park to dine when you have these great options right there.  A few of these locations also offer the Fantasmic Dinner Package where you get reserved seating for the show!  If you will be at the park for the day, here are 5 awesome places that you should consider to dine at while you are there:

5. 50’s Prime Time Cafe

Vintage dining with classic American comfort food! 50’s Prime Time Cafe is a favorite spot for lunch and dinner for our family because of the delicious food, fun and entertaining service, and fantastic 50’s style theming. Plan to make dining reservations in advance as 50’s Prime Time Cafe is a popular restaurant off Echo Lake. If you don’t have reservations, see if you can snag a bar stool at the Tune-In Lounge located within the restaurant.

4. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

We love the charm of this restaurant.  During the Christmas season, it is one of our favorite restaurants with the lights inside and the dimly lit environment.  Not only that, the food is delicious!  The Italian favorites are definitely comfort food and will fill you up after a long day of walking and sweating in the parks.  You will need those carbs to keep going, and you won’t want to miss this place.  The parmigiana is probably my absolute favorite!  Be sure to try out some of the delicious wines and desserts, too.

3. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

This is such a fun and unique restaurant.  The inside is set up like a drive-in theater and you get to dine in car tables.  The tables are positioned in front of a large screen where old drive-in food commercials are playing, along with clips from old sci-fi movies.  You may even see servers on roller skates, too!  It is like you have been transported to right back to the 50’s, and we just love it!  The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you have several opportunities to try out this one.  You will want to make your reservations early since this restaurant is extremely popular and they can be hard to get!

2. Hollywood & Vine

Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is available for not only the usual dinner buffet but for the lunch buffet as well! Classic characters such as Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie are available while celebrating a theme to match the season. There have been spring, summer, Halloween and Christmas themed events.  Our favorite is the Christmas event, but we recommend trying them all out. It changes up the experience and menus for each event, so it is like dining at a new place each time. Disney Junior characters are available for the breakfast buffet at Hollywood and Vine!

1. Hollywood Brown Derby

This restaurant is absolutely amazing!  The restaurant is themed after the classic restaurant from Hollywood where all of the stars used to dine.  The walls are covered with caricatures of famous celebrities from the time period, which were also displayed in the original restaurant, too.  The Cobb salad and the pineapple cake are original recipes from the Hollywood restaurant that are served at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  You are going to fall in love with these menu items.  Don’t worry; there are recipe cards for each of these that you can pick up for free so that you can make them at home for yourself!  The Cobb salad is one of my favorite items on the menu.  The crab cakes are also another favorite for us, and you can’t go wrong with the steak, either!  The restaurant is pricey since it is one of Disney’s Signature restaurants, but we feel like it is well worth it!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
