This week had a little bit of everything in terms of news out of Disney Parks! Among some of this week’s updates, Shanghai Disney Resort reopened following its latest (and hopefully last) pandemic closure, Disney World’s website experienced some hiccups, and we learned new details about the attraction set to replace Splash Mountain.
Here’s everything you might have missed this week:
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was officially announced as the name of the Princess and the Frog-inspired attraction that is coming to both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. Along with learning the name of the ride, and its opening timeframe, we also got a first look at the new outfit Tiana will be wearing on the attraction.

Ready for Halloween already? Disney released the teaser trailer for Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)! The all-new film featuring the return of the Sanderson Sisters will be released this fall on Disney+ and the trailer looks great! The sequel to the 1993 Disney classic is sure to offer a healthy dose of fun and nostalgia and we can’t wait to watch it.

We can’t wrap up the week without mentioning the launch of the Disney Wish by Disney Cruise Line, and the elusive $5,000 Kaiburr Crystal cocktail that came along with it. The week also included news on returning character experiences at Walt Disney World, one show that just might be closing permantly based on Disney’s latest update, and a competitor that could take the place of Disney’s former Spirit of Aloha dinner show.
