Beware, hitchhiking ghosts! They have had too much to drink!
In a new promotional video advertising the Disney Treasure (the most recent Disney Cruise Line ship), one of the port holes displays the trio of hitchhiking ghosts from the popular Disney attraction.
Debuting in 2024, the new Disney cruise ship will be a sister ship of the Disney Wish, meaning it will have a much similar layout and share some venues. While the Disney Wish introduced Guests to the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge, it has been reported that the venue will not be included on the Treasure. Rather, the rumor is that a Haunted Mansion bar and lounge will be on the Disney Treasure instead.
The Haunted Mansion has been in the news lately, with the new film coming out later this month and a unique collection of merchandise offered by Disney themed to the classic attraction. Although the Haunted Mansion remains one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Park and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park, it has yet to branch out into other entertainment venues or hotels.
What Haunted Mansion Surprises Can We Expect?
If this rumor is true, it’ll be interesting to see how Disney utilizes the space and what kind of themed “spirits” they offer. One can easily imagine a Bloody Mary inspired by Constance Hatchaway, a Hatbox Ghost beverage served in a special container, or perhaps even an old-fashioned served with cobwebs. Maybe instead of tables and booths, one will sit in a doom buggy and order drinks via a Madame Leota crystal ball at the center of the table? The options are limitless!
Of course, again, it is worth mentioning this is a rumor. Although Disney’s choice to use the hitchhiking ghosts in a promotional video of the Treasure signals that if not a bar, there will be SOMETHING Haunted Mansion themed on the ship – perhaps a restaurant or show? Apparently, we foolish mortals will have to wait until the ship debuts to the public next year to find out the truth!
