During this meeting, someone asked Iger about the recent regarding a merger between Apple and Disney.
These seemed to hold due to Iger’s reputation as a who is constantly expanding. After all, the purchases of PIXAR Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm were all made during Iger’s time as the CEO of the .
Not only that, but Iger and the late co-founder of Apple, , were close friends. Iger has even said in the past that a collaboration between Apple and Disney would have been discussed if Jobs were still alive.

However, during the recent Town Hall, Iger put those to rest, saying they were nothing but “ not rooted in any fact,” according to a report made by Investopedia.
It seems that, at this point, a merger between the two powerhouses is not coming anytime soon.
