When visiting EPCOT, Guests will quickly spot construction within the Disney Park. But, now, Guests will also see construction outside of the Park as Disney works to expand its already massive parking lot.
Gone are the EPCOT days of Future World and World Showcase. The theme park has introduced its four neighbors with World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase. With Walt Disney Imagineering construction walls ever present, Disney is preparing for the crowds with a parking lot expansion.

Not only can Guests access EPCOT via Monorail, Skyliner, bus, boat, and walking paths, but driving to EPCOT has always been made simple with its large parking lot.
It seems like with the addition of new experiences such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Space 220, and the incoming Journey of Water Inspired by Moana – Disney needs more space for its vehicle Guests.
If you’re staying at one of the Disney hotels, keep in mind transportation is complimentary, and this includes parking your vehicle at a Disney World Park.

If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, keep in mind parking a standard vehicle is $25 per day. Ways around that fee would be making a dining reservation such as breakfast at an EPCOT Resort restaurant such as Ale and Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club or Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
Once you’ve dined, you can typically leave your vehicle in the Resort parking lot (check with a Cast Member first!) and walk over to the EPCOT for a great Walt Disney World Resort day.
We’ll be sure to keep Disney Tips readers updated as we learn more about this new EPCOT parking lot expansion as you make plans for your next Disney vacation.
