Disney Parks offers attractions for all kinds of adventurers. For thrill-seekers, Disney World offers roller coasters to get your heart pumping. For those who are more interested in the storyline, there are plenty of options for that, too. And for Guests who enjoy slow-paced rides, they have options. There was one thing Walt Disney was adamant about when creating Disneyland, and that was making a Park inclusive for all.

Disney World is known for some of the most iconic attractions. Some originated in Disneyland, going as far back as Walt Disney’s time, like “its a small world”, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Although Disney World features these classic rides, they are also known for their own one-of-a-kind experiences.

Popular attractions like Spaceship Earth, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coast Starring Aerosmith, Avatar Flight of Passage, and Slinky Dog Dash can only be found at Disney World. The four Parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios, each offer their own unique experience, often with one-of-a-kind adventures. This is one of the many reasons visiting Disney World can be such a different experience from other Parks around the world. Plus, it gives the exclusivity of the Parks, urging Guests to check it off their Disney bucket list.

Disney World Attractions

With the exclusivity and excitement of never-before-ridden attractions, Guests eagerly await the day they get to attend a new Park. And even if visiting Disney World isn’t the first time for you, it’s always a new experience each time you go. It’s even more special as you ride your favorite attraction, always giving you something to look forward to that reminds you of your second home.

One popular ride in Walt Disney World is the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coast Starring Aerosmith. The attraction opened in July of 1999 and stars the band and their music throughout the ride. “The coaster accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds (making this the second-fastest attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort, behind only Test Track,” Fandom writes.

With that speed, you can only hope and have faith in Disney to have proper safety precautions in place for Guests. One Guest shared their experience when they rode the fast-thrilling rock band ride, giving them a scare of a lifetime.

Riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

The Guest took to social media to share their experience when getting on the thrill ride. They explain that the safety bar that comes down over your head did not click into place initially. They went on to add,

The cast member passed by and told me to pull it down, which I did but it didn’t click because I was tall and my shoulders were too high for it to lock properly. I was going to tell the cast member, but they were already gone and had signalled the other cast member to start the ride. I panicked and tried to get the cast member’s attention, but it was too noisy and they couldn’t hear. I quickly tried to scooch down in the seat to make room, which luckily worked and was able to lock it, and the ride started immediately after. It was pretty freaky.

Their experience does sound like it got them quite spooked. As a Guest, you don’t necessarily think about the manufacture of a ride or the mechanisms that keep you safe during it. Other Guests and Disney fans quickly took to the comment section to ease their mind on the matter.

One Disney fan wrote, “I believe there is a warning because even if a seat is unoccupied, the restraint needs to be down. I’ve also heard the force keeps you in the seat, and the possibility of falling out is almost zero.” Another immediately added, “And if it helps, Disney coasters are all “push” forces. They push you into the seat and don’t “pull” you up into airtime. The chances of falling out are very slim. (That’s why it’s OK to take your bags, also. They aren’t going anywhere.)”

Seeing other Guests jump in to make a fellow Guest feel better about a Disney experience is always so delightful. The Disney community can be a tight family-like group that wants each other to have a magical experience.

It’s important to note that Cast Members are well-trained in operating the attractions and have precautions to ensure all Guests are safe. Additionally, “Disney World rides and experiences are engineered with state-of-the-art technology, rigorous maintenance schedules, and strict safety protocols,” as Disney Dining pointed out. Disney Dining also comments a “warning message” would have sounded if the restraint was not properly working.
