Sorry, Universal. This Disney Spot Has Better Churros

Can we tell you a secret? We may be Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders and think the world of Mickey Mouse… but shh… we enjoy Universal Orlando Resort too! Yes, we must admit, we are also Universal Passholders and find ourselves at both Orlando theme park giants’ Parks regularly.

Just like Disney fans know Dole Whip and Mickey Ice Cream Bars are Disney Park snack staples, the Churro is at that same level for Universal fans. Universal’s churros are delicious, fresh, and beat out any Disney Park churro we’ve ever had… until now.

Head over with us to Disney Springs, where shopping, dining, and entertainment are in full swing! Admission and parking are FREE at Disney Springs, making it a regular place for locals to drop in to check out the Disney bubble.

Not only has Disney recently added Dole Whip flavors to Disney Springs with its Swirls on the Water, but there are endless sweet treat offerings, including Gideon’s Bakehouse, Everglazed Donuts, and Salt & Straw ice cream. For our family, however… we’re always on the lookout for churros!

Until now, we’ve settled with the fact that Universal just has better churros than Disney. But, at a recent stop at Disney Springs, we decided to try out a quiet churro kiosk in the Marketplace portion of the complex. The game-changer? Sunshine Churros!

The Mexican-inspired pastry comes to life in a whole new way, making this hidden gem our newest must-do with every visit to Disney Springs. The crunchy goodness of a churro comes to life at Sunshine Churros with a fantastic variety of delicious flavors, including cinnamon, apple cinnamon, watermelon, salted caramel, rose gold, and Fruity Pebbles.

Want to indulge in a premium gourmet selection? Check out the strawberry cheesecake or Oreo churro. Dipping sauce? Why, yes, please! Ask for the Nutella or milk chocolate dips to top your churro snacking.

Well done, Sunshine Churros! We weren’t sure it was possible – but this Disney churro has officially topped Universal’s iconic Park churro.
