It’s no secret that Disney loves to indulge in celebrations at the Parks. Whether visiting a theme park at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, there’s always a special event for even more magic.
Over at Walt Disney World, multiple special events and celebrations are going on, such as the tail end of the Most Magical Celebration on Earth and EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts. On the other side of the country, Disneyland Park is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, and Disney California Adventure is celebrating the Lunar New Year!

You’ve probably heard of the Lunar New Year referred to as Chinese New Year, and while that’s not untrue, it’s not totally accurate. The Lunar New Year is the beginning of the lunar calendar and is celebrated by many cultures. Over in Disney California Adventure, the Lunar New Year commemorates the Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese new year celebrations.

This fantastic celebration includes limited-time experiences and entertainment, such as parades and rare opportunities for character meet-and-greets (such as Mulan and Mushu). There are new snacks and sips, such as boba, jasmine, and matcha tea offerings. The decorations will be festive, and there will be limited-time merchandise for collectors or Guests who want to commemorate the experience.
Disney California Adventure Park’s Lunar New Year celebrations begin today and last until February 15!
