There seems to be a major epidemic of Disney guests fighting when visiting local theme parks. In the past six months, we have reported multiple incidents. These brawls have a few things in common: they happen in front of kids, involve large groups of people, and take place at Disney World or Disneyland.

Another Disney Guest Fight

This latest video has gone viral both on Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter). It shows a group of adults outside the Mad Tea Party throwing fists, kicking, and screaming. You can also spot the fighting individuals almost knocking over a stroller.

This shocking video takes place at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. Although it’s unclear what the guest fight was over, one can assume it was accusations of line cutting. Then again, one of the most infamous fights at Magic Kingdom Park in the past year was over one family asking another to move so they could take a picture.

Whatever the reason for this recent brawl, it’s still a shocking scene to Disney guests fight at the Happiest Place on Earth. At least five men and women can be spotted shoving, punching, and wrestling with one another.

According to the New York Post, Anaheim police assisted the Disneyland Resort Security.

What Disney Must Do

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort have been scrutinized regarding fights and acting out at theme parks. Although it might be unfair to lay all of this in the hands of the Walt Disney Company, they still need to solve it.

Many have cited that Disney’s price hikes, the Genie+ ride reservation system, and the entire experience have caused many guests to be stressed throughout their visit. However, it seems silly to suggest that lowering theme park ticket prices would equal fewer fights, but who knows?

Perhaps Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland need stricter reinforcement of its policies or an increased presence of security. In addition to the many fights breaking out, it seems to take Disney security a long time to respond.

But the issue of guests misbehaving includes more than fist fights. Earlier this week, we reported on a guest jumping off a bridge at EPCOT and a couple of weeks ago covered a story on a family hopping off Space Mountain.

Many guests have also jumped in decorative fountains, skipped lines, broken safety rules, and even entered cast member-only areas. Whether this is for a bet, to gain social media attention, or for another reason, Disney must solve it.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
