Video: Guest Risks Disney World Ban with Haunted Mansion Trespass

The Walt Disney World Resort has seen its fair share of strange behavior lately.

We’ve seen a Guest steal water from Pirates of the Caribbean, a Guest not wearing his seatbelt on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, as well as multiple fights break out at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Now, we have another interesting Guest story from a popular Liberty Square attraction in Magic Kingdom, one that is sure to leave its 999 happy haunts turning in their graves.

The Haunted Mansion is one of Disney’s most iconic attractions and has inspired a Halloween parade float, movies (starring Eddie Murphy and now Owen Wilson), and even The Muppets Haunted Mansion Disney+ version. The dark ride attraction features a ride-through tour in an Omnimover vehicle called a “Doom Buggy” through an array of scenes with silly spooks, including the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the bride’s attic, and Madame Leota.

Located at Disneyland in New Orleans Square, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris (Phantom Manor), and Hong Kong Disneyland (Mystic Manor), Disney’s haunted house uses a range of clever technology tricks to create its famous 999 happy haunts, including spectral Audio-Animatronics and optical illusions like Pepper’s Ghost.

With the Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion movie getting a new reboot – starring Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, and Rosario Dawson – there’s no better time to ride a Doom Buggy to see the ride’s Grim Grinning Ghosts.

One Haunted Mansion attraction fan, however, took their love for the Walt Disney World attraction too far this week in a stunt that has shocked Magic Kingdom fans. Twitter user @epthot_ shared the original (now deleted) TikTok video of the strange Disney World antics yesterday, April 28:

honestly the vibe: it’s saying “ban me while i lay in my own grave please.”

The video shows TikTok user @gracie.jones04 climbing over one of the attraction’s queue fences to lie in the grave area of Master Gracey. It appears this stunt is just for a TikTok video and is certainly against the Disney Park rules. Another Guest can be heard laughing at the strange Park antics behind the camera.

We are not sure if Cast Members saw the behavior and talked to the Guest, but many others believe the woman to have been acting in such a way that would warrant a ban from the Magic Kingdom or getting kicked out of the Park.

We at Disney Tips want to remind our readers that we do not condone such actions. When visiting any of the Disney Parks or Resorts across the world, Guests must follow certain rules and regulations that, when ignored, could result in getting kicked out – or even being banned – from the Parks. For more information about the Walt Disney World Resort’s rules, visit Disney’s website.

It’s been a big week for Halloween news out of Disney Parks, including the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, and Hocus Pocus coming to Disney Cruise Line.

Just remember, Happy Haunts, to materialize good behavior in Disney’s theme parks, at all times of the year.
