HUGE Milestone for Disney Cast Members

We all absolutely adore our beloved Disney Cast Members. They all go so far out of their way to make sure we have such a magical vacation by spreading that extra pixie dust on our experiences. We have all had those special Cast Members that we remember for years after, all over property.

There’s Victoria, a server from Geyser Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge who always makes sure we are taken care of and refills our drinks before we even realize that we have an empty glass. Then there’s Nicole, a Photopass photographer that always makes sure you will always get that perfect photo in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom. Who can forget Alex from Roaring Forks who is so attentive and quick with Guest’s dining orders? Last but not least, we would be remised if we didn’t say thank you to Jasmine who works in the gift shops of EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. Jasmine does a great job of making sure we find that special souvenir for us to commemorate our Disney trip.

Most of us have used the My Disney Experience app when traveling to Walt Disney World, especially since the start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration. As we have previously reported, one of the new features available on the app, since the beginning of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, is the Mobile Cast Compliment feature. This feature allows Guests to use their phones to quickly and easily leave a compliment or a special note for any of the many Cast Members that we encounter.

Disney has officially announced that the Mobile Cast Compliment feature has now hit a major milestone. In only a little over 6 months this feature has now reached 100,000 Cast Compliments from appreciative Guests for the magical moments they helped create.  

In honor of this major milestone for the Mobile Cast Compliment feature, Walt Disney World Ambassadors, Ali and Raevon, along with other Disney Leaders, went out and surprised the Cast Member who received the 100,000th compliment. Cast Member Diana, who works in Housekeeping at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, was celebrated for receiving the 100,000th Mobile Cast Compliment through the My Disney Experience App. Diana, who is an amazing Cast Member that is always quick to brighten up a Guest’s day with her smile, was given a framed certificate celebrating the occasion, while everyone celebrated and enjoyed some delicious cake. 

If you aren’t sure how to use the Mobile Cast Member Compliment feature on the My Disney Experience App, then don’t worry. It is incredibly easy and only takes a few moments. First thing you want to do is search Cast Compliments in the App. In order to ensure that your compliment reaches the correct Cast Member, you will want to include their name and their hometown, which are both displayed prominently on every Cast Member Name Tag. Every time a Cast Member is complimented using this feature, they receive a digital certificate, and a notification is sent to their supervisor to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.

It is always a great idea to give a compliment to the Cast Members, who work so tirelessly to ensure that your time in the Disney Parks and Resorts is as magical and special as possible. The Mobile Cast Compliment feature makes this easier than ever, but no matter how you do it, either through the My Disney Experience App, an email, or just by giving them a smile and thank you, Cast Members will always be grateful for your kindness and appreciation for the work they do. 

Walt Disney once said “I don’t want the public to see the world they live in while they’re in the Park. I want them to feel they’re in another world.”  This comes true due to the hard work of all of the Disney Cast Members. They deserve the recognition.
