This is not just another drink list; it’s the ultimate one. Planning out your trip to Walt Disney World can be time-consuming. Looking for the best dates, Resorts, airfare, restaurants, Park outfits, I mean, the list can go on and on. And so can the spending if you let it. But what’s probably most important is the people you are going with.

If you intend on going with a large group, what are the ages? Are you going with your family, including children? Is it an adults-only trip? Is it a vacation for you and your bestie? Or a honeymoon for you and your significant other? Depending on the type of trip you’re interested in, you’ve likely clicked on this page because you’re over the legal drinking limit and are ready to dive into the best drinks offered at Walt Disney World. Of course, by drinks, we mean alcoholic beverages.

When Walt Disney was creating Disneyland, he had a strict policy on alcohol. It was prohibited from the premises. So when Walt Disney World opened, Magic Kingdom had the same guidelines. For those who have visited the Parks at Disney World, or if you’re a first-timer, Disney World offers four Parks. Those Parks include Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

Of the four, finding an adult beverage to quench your thirst at three Parks was always possible. Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios have various options where you can grab a drink to go and continue on your adventures or dine in and enjoy a glass of your favorite cocktail. More recently, Magic Kingdom has jumped on the bandwagon, offering alcohol only in sit-down restaurants like Be Our Guest.

Though this is the case now, at the Destination D23 event, news broke that a new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern would be coming to Magic Kingdom. “Disney is referring to the new tavern as a lounge; every other location that Disney refers to as a lounge serves alcohol, in which guests can take drinks to go,” Inside the Magic reports. Additionally, a lounge including Captain Jack Sparrow already screams drinks as the films and the attraction portray villagers drinking.

This could mean the same rules would apply to all four Parks now, allowing Guests to roam freely with alcohol. As Magic Kingdom decides on that factor, we’re ready to explore the best drinks offered in the four Parks at Walt Disney World. But before we get there, let’s look into some of the best tips for an adult-only trip to “The Most Magical Place On Earth,” including adult beverages (of course).

Planning an Adult-Only Disney World Vacation

Planning a Disney trip for adults only can be a different vibe. Regardless of your group size, you can tailor your trip exactly to what you and your group members want. Don’t want to wait in line to meet Anna and Elsa? Skip! Not feeling the Dumbo the Flying Elephant? Pass! You have the luxury to choose how your trip plans out. And as you should, as you’re spending your hard-earned money to be there!

Some useful tips for trips of those 21+ besides the alcohol (I promise we’ll get there) include Resorts, dining options, attractions, and events. Depending on your budget, length of the trip, and favorite characters, your trip can go in a few different directions. If you are truly trying to keep your trip as adult-only as possible, you’ll want to pass on the Disney Value Resort Hotels.

Value Resort Hotels are on the cheaper side but are often great for large groups like schools visiting or big families. Even if you’re on a budget, play with your dates to see when a Moderate Resort Hotel or Deluxe Resort Hotel is reasonable for your stay. Moderate Resort Hotels and higher have a certain ambiance that feels more sophisticated. They also offer more amenities like spas and bars that could make your Disney trip feel much more elevated.

Dining options first depend on the kind of food that you enjoy. All four Parks, including Disney’s BoardWalk and Disney Springs, have a plethora of options. There is absolutely something for every taste palette. Looking for places geared more towards adults, you’ll want to grab a snack or a meal at any of the lounges offered in the Parks, like Nomad Lounge & Cocktail Bar in Animal Kingdom.

Another great option is a quick appetizer and a drink at La Cava de Tequila in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion. For sit-down meals, try out The Hollywood Brown Derby for a refined dining experience in Hollywood Studios. If you’re heading away from the parks, give Morimoto Asia a go for an elegant experience in Disney Springs.

Speaking of Disney Springs, Disney Springs is a great place to explore during the daytime or evening for adult time. There are many options, from shopping to entertainment, like Cirque de Soleil. Disney Springs also offers many amazing, uniquely themed restaurants like The Edison, Wine Bar George, and Paradiso 37. Enjoying a specialty beverage outside on the water taking in the view, is priceless.

Lastly, attractions and events are unique to each Guest based on their favorite. Some Guests have a favorite Park or a favorite ride, and there is nothing anyone can say to change that. As no one should! This trip is all about you, so plan it as you like! If you’re looking for an adult-only experience, you won’t find an attraction that does not let children on it, but some rides do have a height requirement, which eliminates some young Guests. Might I add that although you may not be bringing children along on your trip, seeing their excitement on rides is also so special to witness, so don’t rule them out completely!

The biggest tip may be somewhat obvious, but can put a real damper on your trip. Remember your valid form of identification! Now, if you’re traveling to Disney World via plane, you likely won’t get too far without realizing you have no form of identification on you, as an airport will require it. But for the local visitors, make sure you have something on you! Disney notes they will accept,

  • U.S. state driver’s license (includes U.S. territories*)
  • U.S. state ID (includes U.S. territories*)
  • U.S. military ID
  • Original passport
  • Copy of passport (either on paper or captured on a mobile device), along with a government-issued photo ID** that can verify the person and birth date shown on the copy
  • NEXUS card issued by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (Canadian Guests only)
  • All Guests visiting from outside of the United States are required to present both a valid passport as well as another form of government-issued photo ID from their country of origin.

This is a big note for in-state, out-of-state, and international visitors to remember before embarking on their journey to Disney.

Best Alcoholic Beverages in Walt Disney World Parks

Now that we’ve gotten down to the basics, like your identification, where to stay, and some suggestions on where to eat, let’s get to the good stuff: the alcohol! For so many adults visiting Disney World, it’s their first time getting to experience the Parks as they want to. Maybe they left their children with their parents for the weekend, or could never previously afford this kind of trip, or just got married, whatever the reason, it’s something to celebrate!

All Guests, no matter their age, deserve to be celebrated in the Parks in all the ways that make them happy most. And as you travel on your adult-only trip, that may include some alcoholic beverages during your stay. We’re breaking down the ultimate list of drinks you must try in Walt Disney World’s Parks.

Best Alcoholic Beverages in Magic Kingdom

As we previously discussed, Magic Kingdom has some different rules compared to the other three Parks. Though their rules don’t allow Guests to walk around the Parks with a drink in hand, various restaurants allow Guests of the appropriate age to relax and enjoy their favorite beverage.

Starting with Cinderella’s Royal Table are the flights varying from Celebration Champagne Flight, The Castle Flight, and Step Sisters Flight. We couldn’t pick just one, as a flight offers three sips for a bubbly experience. Heading to The Plaza Restaurant, the Last Word cocktail features Ford Gin, Green Chartreuse Liqueur, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, and Lime Juice garnished with Luxardo Cherries.

If wine and specialty beverages aren’t calling your name, visit Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen for a refreshing Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale. The beer made right in Florida has a spicy tang inspired by African-style amber ale.

Best Alcoholic Beverages in Animal Kingdom

Hot take: Animal Kingdom has some of the best specialty beverages! This may be controversial as EPCOT offers the World Showcase with the option to drink around the world, but that only makes Animal Kingdom drinks even more underrated. Some of the best alcoholic drinks live in the lands of Pandora, Africa, and Asia in Animal Kingdom.

Pongu Pongu

Pongu Pongu, or “Party Party” in Na’vi, is the stop you must make when visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tucked away in Pandora – The World of Avatar sits the beverage station serving delicious drinks, including the Night Blossom. The green and pink beverage with orange boba balls atop marries apple and desert pear limeade in the frozen specialty cocktail.

Once you’ve sipped your Night Blossom down and hopefully avoided a brain freeze, begin your walk over to Yak and Yeti for another tasty choice. The Yak Attack is filled with Mango Daiquiri, Don Q Cristal Rum, and Wildberry flavors. Sure, there are beer options for the Guests who don’t enjoy a cocktail, but how can you reject a Yak Attack?

Two fun and vibrant areas for adult-only Guests are the Nomad Lounge and Dawa Bar. The Nomad Lounge & Cocktail Bar is located in Discovery Island, offering an array of drinks, but our favorite? The Hightower Rocks. What do we love more? The mouth-watering bites also offered here pair nicely with any mixed drink, beer, or wine you may desire.

Dawa Bar

Dawa Bar is located in the heart of Harambe, with a classic cocktail, the African Margarita. The bamboo bar is also a unique themed spot to hang out, enjoy a cold beverage, and take some time off from walking through the Park.

Though all of these drinks sound so delicious and refreshing, there is a classic that will always have our hearts. As a favorite Disney snack and beverage, Tamu Tamu offers the perfect combination of sweet, frozen, and fun. DOLE Whip! Tamu Tamu has DOLE Whip with rum, making it the adult version of the specialty beverage. It’s one of the delights you want to keep returning for more.

Best Alcoholic Beverages in Hollywood Studios

Let’s Park hop over to Hollywood Studios as the next Park with some scrumptious drinks. Since Hollywood Studios is a Park that allows Guests to freely walk around with drinks in tow, there are plenty of places to stop to grab any kind of drink. The absolute best for this Park are as follows,

  • Fuzzy Tauntaun – Ogas Cantina
  • Margarita Flight – Hollywood Brown Derby
  • Southside Fizz – Sunshine Day Bar
  • Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen that is “loaded” with a shot of Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka – Tune in Lounge
  • The Lost Jewel – Oasis Canteen
  • Blue Milk – Star Wars Galaxy Edge Milk Stand

Why are these added to our ultimate list? Well, for one, look at some of these names! Fuzzy Tauntaun? How can you not want to experience that at least once in your Disney lifetime? At Oga Cantina, this drink is topped with a Buzz Button Tingling foam that will literally have you buzzing! “This foam is made with Szechuan flowers and literally makes your mouth go numb for a few moments as you drink,” Inside the Magic adds.

Best Alcoholic Beverages in EPCOT

We saved EPCOT for last as it’s already known for many adult beverages. Yes, drinking around the world is a thing, and yes, it’s an experience if you have not yet tried it out! The coolest part of “drinking” around the world is not actually the alcohol, though; it’s getting to experience each pavilion and its culture. Eleven pavilions, to be exact, infuse their vibrancy, heritage, and traditions in everything they offer.

EPCOT also offers events throughout the year, like EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. These festivals only bring forth even more options, and limited-time ones at that, that are a must-try. But for the standards, no matter what time of year you’re going, a few need to be added to your list.

Choza de tequila

Starting to the left in Mexico (yes, we start with Mexico and not Canada), Alabrije Margarita from La Cava del Tequila is the perfect way to start your trip around the world. Next, Norway for the Frozen Viking Coffee at Kringle Bakeri Og Kafe. Take a break from walking and dine in at Nine Dragons Restaurant for the Ginger Zinger with your mouth-watering meal.

When you’re ready, Germany is waiting for you with the chofferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen from Sommerfest! Then try out the Italian Margarita in Italy, a different taste and vibe from Harambe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Keep switching up your palette as you move to America for the Tennesse Lemonade or the Blackberry Moonshine Sour from Regal Eagle’s.

Trucking through to Japan for the Sake Slushie at Kabuki Cafe is one of the most refreshing treats, especially on a hot Florida day. This is one I often want two of when the heat is beaming down. For a lighter flare, the Pomegranate Mimosa at Spice Road Table in Morocco is a sparkling delight. Next on the tour of World Showcase, France offers the Orange Slush served in a martini glass from Les Vins des Chefs de France to make you feel extra special.

Last but certainly not least, we recommend the Cider and Fireball from Rose & Crown Pub. It is a Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, and Strongbow Cider topped with Ginger Ale to really top off the mixtures of drinks we’ve recommended. Pro tip: snap a shot with Binny, the most famous trash can in Disney World, right outside the pub!
