Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be making its grand debut at Disney’s EPCOT theme park on Memorial Day weekend this year, and already Guests can’t wait to experience the unique, galactic thrills of the Marvel ride.
The brand-new indoor rollercoaster will feature Kevin Feige’s popular Marvel characters, including Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot, in an all-new, spinning coaster that brings the Marvel story to life. And with sneak peeks promised to select Guests, we now know when registration for this preview opens!

Disney officially revealed recently the “best-kept secret” in theme park news, announcing that EPCOT’s Cosmic Rewind will be opening on May 27. Walt Disney World Resort’s family-thrill coaster will feature Guests arriving from the planet Xandar to Earth to create the first “other-world” showcase at EPCOT – the Wonders of Xandar pavilion.
The ride will be one of the world’s longest enclosed roller coasters, and also Disney World’s first reverse-launch roller coaster. This will be the second Guardians of the Galaxy-themed attraction at Disney Parks in the U.S., the first being Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort, which replaced the beloved Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Today, April 13, a highly-anticipated message for Disney Vacation Club members finally arrived in DVC inboxes. Cast Members, DVC members, and Annual Passholders are all being given the opportunity to sign up for special previews of the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride at EPCOT, and now, we know the date when DVC registration for early access will begin. Scott Gustin shared the dates on Twitter:

Early access Disney Vacation Club registration will open at 9:00 a.m. on April 14, with Disney implementing a virtual queue for those wanting to be one of the first to ride Cosmic Rewind.
Unfortunately, we are still unaware when Annual Passholder registration will begin, but judging by when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure preview sign-up started, we could be looking as early as April 15.
Of course, Disney Tips will keep you updated with the latest news regarding Cosmic Rewind, and all other things related to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks.
We’re excited for May to arrive so we can experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and see all our favorite MCU characters at the EPCOT theme park. We’ll be looking out for the comedy charms of Rocket the raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Groot (Vin Diesel), Drax (Dave Bautista), and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora.
