Disney merchandise is some of the most treasured travel souvenirs on the planet.

From Minnie Mouse ears and Princess costumes to unique artwork and Disney character mugs, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort offer so many choices when it comes to shopping.

But on top of Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs, let’s not forget the bountiful goodies onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship!

Disney has revealed the brand new shopping district coming to its newest Cruise Ship, the Disney Wish, and it looks gorgeous!

The Disney Wish launches its maiden voyage on July 14, 2022, delayed from its previous June 9 schedule. The Disney Wish hit the water for the first time on February 11 in Papenburg, Germany, alongside fireworks, musical fanfare, and Captain Minnie Mouse joining the celebration

Disney Cruise Line has come a long way since the company was incorporated in 1996 as Magical Cruise Company Limited. Disney Cruise Line currently operates four ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. Three ships will join the fleet in 2022, 2024, and 2025, the first being the Disney Wish, which recently delayed its inaugural cruise.

Disney Cruise Line operates the Disney Cruise Line Terminal in Port Canaveral, Florida, and the Disney Wish will be Disney’s most elegant cruise ship to date, featuring a number of brand new, one-of-a-kind experiences — including the first-ever “attraction at sea”, the Aquamouse, as well as Frozen and Marvel dining experiences, and an enchanted forest-themed Walt Disney Theatre.

The new Disney Cruise Line theater will host a musical stage-show performance of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, featuring state-of-the-art video projections to make the Walt Disney Theatre feel like it is a 360-degree undersea environment alongside Sebastian, Flounder, Prince Eric, and Ariel. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has also been revealed to be coming to the Disney Wish.

But what about shopping? Guests of all ages always wish to bring some of their Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, or Disney Resort Hotel magic home with them, and now, Disney Parks Blog has given a sneak peek at the new “elegant retail district” onboard the Disney Wish.

The Disney Wish will feature a shopping district that runs between the Grand Hall and the Walt Disney Theatre on deck 3. On either side of this shop-lined promenade, five distinct stores will offer exclusive Disney merchandise and luxury gifts like jewelry, watches, and accessories.

According to Disney, these shops will “have something for everyone”, with treasures ranging from collectibles and toys to apparel and bags.

One of these shops, Treasures Untold, will be Guests’ go-to destination for signature Disney Cruise Line collectibles, including Disney’s largest selection of Pandora Jewelry ever. Disney Wish Guests will also find limited-time Artist Spotlight collections and beloved Dooney & Bourke handbags with an exclusive new design.

Disney cruisers will find a familiar sight on deck 5: Mickey’s Mainsail, a fleet mainstay filled with Disney Cruise Line-themed souvenirs and gifts, including those celebrating Castaway Cay.

Mickey’s Mainsail will also feature Disney Wish exclusives such as a special-edition Loungefly mini-backpack and headband. And on the upper decks, Dory’s Forget-Me-Knots will sell swimwear, water-play gear, and fun t-shirts inspired by favorite Disney characters.

Well, we all know where we’re heading after our first buffet onboard the Wish! The Dooney & Bourke handbag is subtle and has a lovely Mickey Mouse design, while the Loungefly bag is both delicate and sparkly. We just hope Disney doesn’t sell out of this Disney merchandise before we manage to sail on Disney’s newest vacation destination.
